Now I can finally join this club!  :D
I received yesterday an earlier version, with tools that seemed almost unused, but tool itself was quite dirty with some gunk and stuff.
It received complete tlc, and now it's beautiful again.

I'm not a fan of SOG tools in general, but the Paratool is the exception--especially the ones with the earlier  tools like mine.  I carry it frequently.

It's a one of a kind ;)
If I can get some glow powder I might do the same with my SOG PPP :tu:

The chisel grind knife blade on mine has to go and I have a replacement blade on the way from Heinnies which I presume will fit straight in. They do say it's compatible.

Having spent a bit of time with Polly now, I can say I like it a lot. It's got real charm in an old school way. The fact that it's not perfect adds to the appeal. I've put a little love into it, tightening a couple of pivots, oiling and putting an acceptable edge onto the chisel ground blade and I feel it's mine now. I know I'm a saaddo but there you go  :)

Considering that I seem to more or less permanently  carry a PST again, and spent some time lovingly hitting a Japan PST with punch and club hammer yesterday,I can't say anything :D

John, I had a late production PST that I loved and really miss. It had IMO the improved drivers which were least likely to fold when in use. That's one I never should have let go. Probably hard to get hold of a good one now

Your timing is a bit bad...last September a bloke in Dorset was selling late model PSTs in BO for £35,or there abouts.

I know a place here in London that was still selling NIB  PSTs ,albeit at £70 odd about 18 months ago. Mind you,at that price, they likely still have them!

Here are my additions to the club. A curious buy turned into a "why didn't I buy this sooner?".  All around cool tool I think.

Would a V-cutter fit in the paratool ? The SOG site says no its not compatible. On the other hand say, the Phillips driver, its compatible with all other SOG MT's including the Paratool. Has any one added the V-cutter to the Paratool with success?

There used to be a proper seatbelt cutter for the PPP and the Paratool .

I know that standard SOG scissors don't fit Paratools ,but I'd be interested to see if the vcutter fits

I fitted the BO twin bevel blade to my Paratool and what do you know, the blade was too long for the frame  ::) A couple of minutes with a DC4 stone and all is well, an easy job  :) I just needed to take a very small part of the blade tip off.

Here's a pic which shows how much of the blade tip was removed to make it fit. Might be of interest to others who wish to change the chisel grind blade.
