I Need a New Wallet
on: January 18, 2008, 04:53:16 PM
Im looking for a wallet like the Spec Ops T.H.E Wallet JR:

http://www.specopsbrand.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductID=11

But I cant find any European retailers for it, theres only one on Ebay and its green instead of black which is the only color I want. Im just wondering if anyone knows of any alternatives to the Spec Ops model? Ive looked on the EDCForums but the JR seems to be the only one they recommend and I cant find it anywhere.

Basically Im looking for a nice black, tough, wallet that can carry all my cards, money (notes, but coins would be a plus), a swisscard and a few other things. T.H.E JR is about as big as I want to go @ 4.125"x4.75"x1.057". It doesnt have to be that one though, Id be happy with any brand as long as its well built.Do Victorinox or Weger do wallets by the way?

If anyone here in Europe got their hands on a Spec Ops one Id appreciate knowing how you did it, thanks.

I don't know about European sales/delivery from this place but I really like this, the mission wallet; http://www.bladeart.com/mission-tac/mission_wallet/mission_wallet.htm
and they have many styles!

Cant help ya with the European sales, but I can tell ya I have had the Spec Ops t.h.e. Jr. wallett now for 2 years. Got it jsut when I got my surge, and I got to tell ya the thing is bulky, but well worth the money. The thing will hold a ton of crap, and having the 2 viewable Id slots are fantastic. On the inside I keep my Firearm licence and the outside one has my CDL and med card in it. Inside also has a cool zipper compartment. Never keep change in it however. You will bust your but. It will however keep the Craftsman coin screwdriver and a razor blade very nicely and safely.

The zippered bill compartment (It also has a reg bill slot) I love for keeping stash cash. (out of site out of mind)

I would certainly recomend trying to find one.

By the way the shark bite is very cool. No noisy velcro.

Does the Spec Ops Jr fit comfortably in the front pocket of regular Wrangler jeans? Thats all I wear at work really.

Yup, but you look like you are ready to play football. It took a while to get used to the bulk in the back pocket, and now I do usually carry it in the front. One good thing about the size is you will never have your pocket picked!! Because you know when its not there.

yeah and when they try and sucker you on a sale, and the shipping cost is 2-5 times the cost of the thing, even in the same country!

I have three Wenger wallets I bought for about $15 dollars each at Marshall's.. But I also have a Gucci one my Fiances parents bought me: it really cool! It holds credit cards on one side and cash on the other!

How are the Wenger wallets?

Too late now anyway as a load of T.H.E Wallet JR's seem to have popped up on Ebay today, I got the black one I wanted for $25.95 + $20.00 fast delivery, that seems a bit steep but its only 32 Euro with the way the exchange rate is at the minute, Id have easily payed that in a shop if Id liked the wallet and the Spec Ops one is the one everyone on the EDCForums recommends so Im happy.
