Those checkered 91mm scales look great. Do you have more than just that one set?

Yup I did 10.  3 are spoken for so far.  :D

Well they look right, now I need time to try them out.

(Image removed from quote.)

Oh I forgot to mention a good  moment...

I explained to the waterjet guy about why ver 1 was a waste and didnt work and he said if I wasnt sure if a part was 100% his policy is to cut one for free from his scrap material and repeat until its correct so the customer doesnt waste money.  So at least NOW I know that and I think thats awesome customer service.   :tu:

I said I wouldnt ever bother with home anodizing, but Ive been browsing the caswell site and they do have a starter kit that I wouldnt mind trying.

Thats not for hard anodize, but I can do standard anodize and use colors not available to hard anodize like bright orange and OD green which would be popular I think.  As well as I can do one off scales of different colors and not have to commit 10-12 sets for a color based on cost.

Ive also been doing some research on hard anodizing and kinda want to figure out the difference and how it's done.  Seems to be sort of secret per shop, but I have some ideas and it would be fun to use my chemistry degree for something.  :D

OD green anodize with black tools would be very nice I think.  Did Vic ever release an OD green special run?

I think I said a couple years ago I was going to start making more videos, but well I haven't posted a new one since then.  :D  I never got a proper video camera so Im still using my phone but I wanted to make a video to try to explain to people why exactly I do make the custom backsprings.

When I sell to people who aren't familiar with this modding thread or the subtleties of alox modding etc I need a way to explain why I went to the effort of investing in making them... anyway... so I finally made a 5 minute rambling video trying to explain.  :D

Hard ano requires higher voltage and cooling devices.
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

Thats what I figured, but since the amount of current needed depends on the surface area of the part, and sak scales are small compared to some things that get hard ano'd.. how much current would it take to anodize one set at a time?  Thats what im thinking... and I have no idea.   I know you have to bubble air through the sulfuric ( or maybe pure O2, not sure ) but Id like to figure it out.

So those 91mm alox work well!  Wow Im pleased the feel is very nice, grippy and boy does it ever stiffen up the frame compared to the standard cellidor model!

I got a video uploading too showing the action.   :tu:
