What all bits do you have?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Very little.  A few Marlin spike scale sets and parts for those.

Hi, I've just sent you an email regarding these scales and parts, would you please have a look when you have a time. Thanks.

Ok will do.  Sorry I get behind on emails sometimes but I do go through them all.

Thanks. Peening is not a problem, I've done it before. Just don't want to do that this time. Knife is heavy and fully loaded, definitely need to be able to take it apart for future maintenance and upgrades. And plus I want one more layer on it with marlin spike and second blade, and Ti scales... Looks like I am creating a monster here. :D

It probably would't be easy to pin an alox knife so it would look good? In plastic scale models tis is not much of a problem as the scales cover any minor mistakes?  :ahhh

If I didn't think it would be really hard to do, I would already try my hand at creating the farmer X, as I currently don't have the money to get one of the stunning mods on display in this thread. Maybe with brass scales...  :like:

As it is, I'll just wait till my financial situation improves to the point I can actually afford one.  :D

Looks beautiful. What size is this? What do the backsprings look like? I noticed that there is no corkscrew or Philips on the back, so I'm curious as to what's going on back there. I was just thinking of a similar design as the brass scale for the next one I planned on having you build this morning.

That is a 93mm pioneer frame they dont have backside tools.  I did this one completely my old way, my own backspring for scissors and proper nail nick scissors.  Its alot more cost for parts and labor to build on this frame which is why I dont work on them much anymore.

Here is the backside.

So is it possible to have made basically a Pioneer X with an added nail file?

What kind of cost are we talking?  Can it be done with me providing some or all of the tools?

Im liking the requests for naked Ti with copper cross.  It looks like its just a surface thing but the copper goes half way through the scale.

The combination of a tinker and compact ( I call it a compact tinker ) is still by far the most popular request.  This one is off to a new home in Japan.   :tu:

Ive been thinking about trying this for ages and well I finally am.  Machining solid body tweezers from 0.125 Ti stock.  Thats the exact thickness of the standard tweezers so by cutting out the profile from the side, I should end up with something that fits just right.

All of this is somewhat micro machining though since it's all going to be done with 1/16 and 1/32 end mills.  1/32 is tiny!
