I think this is the first anodized drawer mod Ive done.  Its a beauty with gleaming polished Ti liners.  I got to use my Ti spike again as well.  :D

Now the waiting for the :mail: begins...

Hey Robert, I am not sure if I have asked this before, but could you do Leatherman Charge scales? I imagine you can.

Oh sure that wouldn't be too hard.  They're basically slabs so pretty straight forward machining.

That's so nice to hear!
Now if only I had any idea about the design I'd want.

I am also very surprised nobody has asked for a pair and customize their Charge. I'd turn my AL into a nice Ti.

Wow!  I saw a picture of one if the skeletonized Ti compacts on Facebook and shot Robert an email last week.  Now, this weekend I found this thread, and just got through the whole thing.  Its a bit funny, I think in the last 72 hours I've gone through at least three different models and at least a dozen different tool configurations as my preference, as he went from Alox 93mm to primarily Ti 91mm and all the new ideas and models he came up with over the last 6 years.

Now I'm not even sure WHAT I would want exactly.  Guess I need to rotate my current stock and see what makes the cut (and what I'm missing).

Yeah, welcome to the board ! Robert it's the one that re introduced me to Victorinox. Ihave always been a folder knife fan and my first 20 years in life I pretty much exclusively dealt in Wenger/Victorinox before a five year period in the military, home and abroad, where I strayed and eventually lost interest in knives.

Some year ago I started to collect again (only to find my old hoard either given away our lost in moves) and thanks to the internet I found Roberts work and just swallowed all he had published. Way out of my league I can't afford any but it made me gather cheap equipment to do my own, stumbling, mods which coincided with me getting into daily whittling (nothing fancy).

Now I did my own c-league modding for private use but I still devour anything Robert show pictures of!

So I did one minor tweak to the drawer 93mm scale and they're good to go now.  Im building a half dozen right now to have on hand for the 'I will buy anything you have ready' type requests.  The diamond texture tumbled finish is my current default scale type as they are durable as heck and will last forever as there is no anodize to wear off.

I finally passed 1000 subscribers on youtube.  It only matters as it allows me to get a named URL instead of some random characters for a channel name.  So I grabbed  www.youtube.com/robertjlessard

I guess I better start posting more videos.  Im thinking maybe a head mounted camera and just film some of the daily things I do like parts finishing and give tips on what I learned over the past 6 years.  I still dont want to be on camera though, Im not TV pretty.    :D

Don't worry about not being on camera. Some of my fav' YouTube channels are just "Talking hands".

Go have a quick look at AvE,  This Old Tony and bigclivedotcom.   Never see the first, once I've see Tony and occasionally Big Clive makes an appearance but most of the time their videos are POV stuff with just their hands in shot.

Just a small position change and thickening the outwr edge a bit so there was more meat to it.
