Being a pacifist I do not own a soldier  :D but I have the Master, which has a metal file instead of the saw.

Based on my example, the philips is the same as all the back philips on victorinox knives, the flat screwdriver is huge and the knife looks and feel really good.
My only complain is that the linerlock of the flat screwdriver is a pain to unlock; too liitle space for your fingers.

What are your views on the part serrated blade?

I've got the OHT and just can't bond with that blade, wish it was a plain edge personally.

I knid of feel the same jon, when i saw pics i thought  not sure i would need that as got the wood saw, ill see how it goes as not really given it a go yet, i had a 111mm forester and got a huntsman so i know how good vics wood saws are, but not tried one of there serrated blades, i kind of with it was lower down and shorter as i like a normal tip to a blade, it does look pretty cool, we need a swiss soldier to tell us there thoughts  ;) but as a knife i really like its looks and its tools, will be a camping knife for me as well as my huntsman  :tu: review as i try it out  :salute:

Thanks.
The top photo was not great as I rushed to get a few of them together in one shot before I left home.
After seeing some of your soldier photos and from the other thread:

http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,32866.0.html

I'm now going to look for the others I don't have now.
It will make a nice change from all the Alox I have everywhere, lol

If I Get A One Hand Soldier It Would Have To Be The Very Hard To Find Plain Edge One.
Because Of The Fact That I Like To Use My Knives... And I Just Don't Use Serrations.

I think jessie it all depends on how much edge you use, the soldier has enough edge for what i use for camping etc but i would prefer less serrations , the serations are very sharp though, the blade edge is a chissell grind and my second one, this knife is very well made and im glad i bit the bullet on it as its as good as i thought it would be, the saw is spot on and as ive has a 111mm model before with a saw i know they work great, all in all a very nice knife,  :tu:

Rest is not idleness,
and to lie sometimes on the grass under trees on a summer's day,
listening to the murmur of the water, or watching the clouds float across the sky,
is by no means a waste of time
