First knife of 2012
on: January 14, 2012, 05:45:16 AM
Just got it today an 1980 Camillus US issue.

While looking thru my "Military Issue"
drawer the other day I realized I had
Swiss

German

Dutch

Spain

But no USA looking in my friends knife shop I found a Camillus but the price tag of $35.00 was a bit more then I wanted to spend just to put in my drawer.
So today I was at my friends pawn shop and going one in the five dollar box being too cheap I traded him two P.O.C knives for it and took it home.

It's new home

I've a 74 and a 75, mine and my wife's birth years, although the 75 was a coincidence I found at a flea market over the summer.

And yes, they are more dangerous to fingernails than anyone or anything else!

I Believe My First Knife Of 2012 Would Be My Spyderco UKPK Maroon FRN Drop Point Plain Edge:

On That Same Day I Got A Spyderco Q Spyderedge And A Walker C37 CE.

They Were Both In A Bulk Trade I Worked Out With A Guy, I Ended Up Trading The Walker And Am Patiently Waiting On The Spyderco Pride With Blue Sculpted Micarta Scales. And Spyderco Dragonfly SS With Neck Sheath And Such.

Pretty Cool Stuff.

These two. Bought them on new years eve, they arrived this week. Does that mean 2012 it's going to be another SAK year for me?   :D

5hif7y, You'll Be The First To Know.
Right Now Though It Happens To Be My Favorite.
But I Think I'm Getting A Spyderco Paramilitary 2 With Camo G-10 And Satin Blade.  :tu:

So After That, The UKPK May Lose Some Of My Interest.

Idk I'll Be Getting A Pride And Dragonfly As Well Lol.

Technically, the Marttiini and KJ Eriksson Mora were my last knife purchases of 2011, and the Buck is the first one in my hands in 2012, though I have some others coming in from SMKW that I ordered before I got the Buck.

I could be wrong but I think that's an old German paratrooper knife.

My first knife of the year was actually a two knife set at the SHOT Show promoting the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.  http://www.rmef.org/

I'll post some pics of them tomorrow.  They are kinda nice for some inexpensive China made knives.

Yes, It's a paratrooper gravity knife from the German Luftwaffe. Here's a video Bubba did on it a while ago.
