I thought I'd seen some crazy alox prices in the past, but that takes it.  :o
I would really love to own one.

Wow, he is usually much more reasonable... must need money or is getting out of SAKs.

I think he is a little out of date as well... it's certainly not the 'most collectible-Limited Edition-Swiss Army knife in the world' in my book; there are quite a few I'd place above that one.

They usually go for $15-$30

something must be wrong as that price is really high, unless it is some special edition or there is something else that I am missing.

But just out of interest has any one seen the HoFFritz stamp on the tang before ? I know its a german retailer but I would have expected an etch on the blade.

Not sure if that adds to the price or detracts from it .....

Hoffritz commissioned many SAKs from Victorinox - some with Victoria on the tang also, some Hoffritz only, some with Hoffritz stamped on the scale.  Haven't seen that it affects the price of the knife.
