Security Certificate Errors?
on: February 08, 2012, 07:13:27 PM
Starting last night and still today IE is telling it is blocking content from this website (MT.O) for security certificate errors. This has never happened before. I dont know squat about computers so I`m wondering whats going on?   :)
What? Enablers! Are you serrrrious? Where? I dont see any.

I have no idea- I have gotten a few database errors over the last week so Whoey ran a scan of the server yesterday.  I never heard any more about it so I assume all went well enough.

Either way I have sent this off to Whoey and Esteban to get their thoughts on it.

Def,
I also got the errors while using the Dolphin Browser from my Kindle Fire.
Error states that the name on the certificate does not match the URL.

Thanks for the info- I'm sure that will help the guys figure out the problem.

Anyone else having issues?

No problem.  In my experience with some SSL certs, this issue can be caused by an out of date, or just corrupted Root Certificate from the Signing Authority.

sometimes, when using a computer that goes through a large firewalled network the forum gets blocked, and I get an orange screen message, I think it is a 403 type error...usually refreshing solves the problem.

My gut tells me it has to do with the Facebook Connect plugin thingy :)
You should seriously visit vicfan.com. All the hoopy froods are doing it.

Funny, my gut tells me it's an issue with the refresh power coupling for the inverse plasma matrix regulator, but I suppose we'll check your suggestions too, just to be safe!

it probably is FB plugin related, since we don't have a cert on the forum.
The difficult we do immediately, the impossible takes a little longer.

Impossible, that was fixed 2 weeks ago :D

BTW I don't know if you were being sarcastic (probably not), but I was actually serious. The only SSL traffic comes from fbcdn.net which is Facebook. And there have been problems with their Akamai security certificates in the past (http://forum.developers.facebook.net/viewtopic.php?id=42142).
