Leatherman? in Spooks
on: January 26, 2008, 06:32:29 PM
Just been watching the latest series of Spooks that my housemate recorded and i'm sure i saw a leatherman pst or pst II in one of the last episodes used to disarm a bomb (what else!) can't help thinking it would have been easier to get those pliers out if he'd had a Gerber though. In that situation every second counts.
I'll grab a screenshot at some stage tonight for you all to look over.

It is a good series, some of the stuff is a bit unbelievable but thats what TV's for right! If you ever get the chance to watch any go for it.

Spooks is a great program mainly due to it being based in England, but its still not as good as '24' though :D

Eeek! Knockoff alert! :police:

Question: did the guy have the tool with him, or did he pull it out of that box of junk and nails and stuff packed in with the bomb? :D

In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

I thought spec-ops guys and other high speed-low drag people only carried the "tactical black" tools. Now I have much less faith in western governments. And that was hard to do.

I was watching the new series of Spooks yesterday and Adam used a Charge Al (it was obvious with the black handle and outside opening blade).  He cut a hostage free with the wire cutters and used the blade to open a car lock.

It was better that way less chance of slicing the fingers off the"hostage"

(Image removed from quote.)

Only on TV, you could watch someone, use a Leatherman, to disarm a cow-pie
