No Life Club, and other frequently asked questions
on: January 27, 2008, 03:15:10 AM
I had a member PM me recently, asking:

Why do some people have "No Life Club" next to their names?

It simply means they have posted more than 1000 times here at Multitool.org. (and therefore surely must spend all their time here, and have "no life" out in the real world!) ;)

1-49 posts............Newbie
50-99 posts..........Jr. Member
100-249 posts.........Full Member
250-499 posts.......Sr. Member
500-999 posts.......Hero Member
1000+ posts..........No Life Club

Other Frequently Asked Questions:

What is a PM?

It stands for Personal Message. If you want to contact a member privately, not in the open forum, then simply click on the little "personal message" icon below their user name.

How can I get one of those cool avatar pictures by my name?

Click on the PROFILE tab at the top left of your screen. (You can also simply click on your user name) Then over at the left, there will be a Forum Profile Information line to click on.  This takes you to a screen where you can upload an avatar picture, or link to one you already have hosted elsewhere.

What about those snappy sayings and phrases some folks have?

You can add those too. Go to your Forum Profile Information screen (described above). The Personal Text line is the one that will appear below your user name or avatar picture.

The Signature line is where you can add phrases or links that will be displayed at the bottom of each post you make.

How do I add photos in the posts I make?

It's pretty easy to do. Rather than restate it here, I'll suggest you check out this thread Defender wrote: http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,2306.0.html

I see reference made to the "Main Site" occasionally. What is that about?

The Multitool.org Forums, where you are right now, is simply a sub-site to the main Multitool.org site. There are reviews and articles posted on the main site, as well as plenty of technical information. Feel free to browse around there all you want. Here is the link:  http://www.multitool.org/

Who's in charge of this madhouse?

Remember that Defender guy I just mentioned? He's the head honcho, owner, and administrator of Multitool.org. Go ahead, you can ask him any question you'd like. If he seems too intimidating though, please feel free to PM any of us moderators with your thoughts, concerns or suggestions.

Or for that matter, feel free to ask any of the members. We've got a great bunch of folks here, and all of us are eager to help.

~Bob

If you've already got a photo bucket account just go to the picture you want and underneath there's 4 boxes, go to the one that says 'IMG Code' then just copy and paste it into your post/thread mate :)

If we get dancing girls to crown us when we become no life member, what to we get just for being a full member?

I must commend you on your poise and grace though, even when fending off a rabid housemate he kept perfect extension in his moves and his footwork was second to non! :D
