If I have the tools and parts, I would like to:

* Keep the big blade.
* Keep the big serrated blade.
* Keep the saw/file adapter.
* Remove the scissors. Replace it with something useful such as a longer fixed wood saw.

* Remove the eyeglass screwdriver.
* Place the large flat driver in the center.
* Place the Wave's scissors at the large flat screwdriver's slot.

or

* Remove the bit adapter. Replace it with the Wave's scissors.

Buy a universal dit adapter.

Buy some replacement saw blades.

Sounds like most of your problems can be solved by Getting a Wave.

Look at your tool, does it look like your modifications would work, or are spacers necessary to keep everything snug?

The challenge/expensive part of your plan toytoy is getting the replacement components. Right now SOG is the only company that sells individual blades.

Sounds like you want the old wave. I do like the !!SURGE!! But sometimes it is just too big.

I lost my original Wave two years ago and I still suffer from the loss. I miss my original Wave. I don't know if Wave's scissors can be installed in the handle of ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡SURGE!!!!!!!!!.

The eyeglass screwdriver is very very helpful to me. However, I just do not like it on  ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡SURGE!!!!!!!!!. The SAK's small and removable eyeglass screwdrivers are much more usable.

The scissors on ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡SURGE!!!!!!!!! may be too large.
