Do only alox soldiers have the rounded shield?

Very nice indeed. 
I've known someone for a while now who may part with one if the offer was very good.
I just would not know what value to put on it? 
Would be very interesting to see how much interest it got if one came up for auction.

Ha ha... with SAKs you can never say "never", and can never say "always". 

... you already saw "Black Beauty" I would say technically that is not a Soldier as never issued to the army.  However; it's best categorized as a Soldier variant.

I picked up a new Wenger 93mm without date with Microsoft/Dell advertising etched on the main blade.  That would not have happened while it really was Standard-Issue, I think that knife was strickly off the promos list in the past. 

I still don't have a coppper VSAKCS, and with the recent pricing I may never have, but it sure is a looker.
