Swisstool Wirecutters
on: January 26, 2008, 10:53:21 AM
I've read a few posts lately where people have showed concern about the Swisstool's wire cutters , one comment I've seen a couple of times is that there is no flat area and instead there is what looks like two hard wire cutters .
This may be a deciding factor in someone purchasing the tool . The reason behind this is there is three types of wire cutters  ::) So theres no excuse now not to go a buy one  ;)
Poor Tim is now going to get all these emails from people asking about what kind of wire cutters does he have in stock  :D
In the photo the oldest tool is on the right and Newest tool on the left

Oh and please dont take this as a slam on the Vic tools, Lots dont have them and trust me when ya ping up the jaws the tool is toast. Thats why if there is no notch I want the cutters to meet each other and not bypass.

Does anyone know why the hard wire cutter keeps getting smaller in each design?

I'd also be interested in that style wire cutter (bolt cutter)

Anyone know how the SOG Powercut is for heavy duty snipping?

Oh, I've got some already. It's probably easier if you just send me all of your SwissTools :)

Dunc, what year is the middle one? I don't know why you would need one hard wire cutter, one soft wirecutter, and a regular wire cutter? The soft one does not make sense to me! Nutsak told me its for copper wire and stuff.. But you could cut that with the regular wire! Quite confusing!!

I would say the middle one is 98 and the right hand one 97 but the placement of "VICTORINOX" is in the wrong place for 97 so its probably just before the new cutters came in .
