Tell me about the bottom Svord - it looks like you've shaped the scales where they meet the blade. Do you have a pic of it open? That's the mod I wanted to do to mine, as the only complaint I have with the Svord is the handle shape.

You have a nice collection there. Did you rehandle some yourself?

I thought there was a thread somewhere but I can't find it
I bought the bottom one in that picture from a guy on another forum, I didn't like what he had done with it so I made those handles from some oak floorboards, changed and adjusted the blade a bit so it looks like this  :tu:

The second one up went to live with Gareth I think and the top two I made from old butchers knives  ;)

Ooops that's another thread ruined  :ahhh

Don't worry - I'll get it back on track.

Nice job there Sparky, much nicer than metal scales.

Good Mod there Sparky - What did you do to adjust the tang part so it doesn't dig into your hand when open?

great blade shape too. That looks like an excellent user.

But back on topic, Much nicer than the metal scales.

The 'flipper' part of the tang? It lays flush like the original knife or do you mean the choil? Its nice an smooth where your finger sits

And the cutting edge is Less than 3”  ;)

Both the 'flipper' and the choil - very nice work - that's one of the strengths of the Svord; it's good enough as it is, but becomes so much more with a bit of work.

Is it one of your users?

Yes and for less than 20quid you get a great bit of steel in a knife that you can easily take to pieces to work on  :tu:

To be honest I don't carry a knife very often, at work I have a stanley knife, there's nearly always my beater spartan in my pocket and if I'm 'gardening' I probably have 'Lofty' my bush knife with me  :salute:

So no they live in my multitool/knife tool box (got it out to play with for the evening)
