At the Victorinox shop.. Some pictures
on: March 15, 2012, 06:33:02 PM
Today I went to the Victorinox dealer to get the scales replaced on two SAKs and had my “assistant” take a few pictures of some of the knife displays there.  8)

They also sell watches, wallets etc.  :D

The two SAKs that got new scales, upgraded to “plus” type with a pen.

The press used to attach the new scales:

Pictures…. Good selection of the widely available SAKs and usual EU dealer prices

Very cool.  8)  I had no idea Victorinox offered there products coupled with a Maglite. Did you just start taking pictures like a mad man or did you ask first.  :)

I think that there has been quite a few box sets with Vic and Maglite over the years Cap. :)

dks, I am totally green with envy mate.  I wish, we had that kind of dealership here. :-\

Cool pics :) Do I spot a 111mm GAK? in Cyprus

It looks a bit like the Victorinox Flagship store in Paris :)
You should seriously visit vicfan.com. All the hoopy froods are doing it.

Capt'n I go there quite often ; I was there two days ago too. I only asked permission to take the picture of the man working, so that the picture would be decent; that was the only picture I took. My "assistant" was being entertained/kept out of my way by taking various pictures whilst we were sorting out which scales would fit my SAKs.

Gareth, you are saving money by not having a dealer close to you, as a scot you should appreciate that!

They do have a good selection and are quite willing to order anything else you want; and do not mind me wondering around their shop and usually buying nothing.
I assume there should be a big Victorinox dealer in Edinburgh, the more European/studenty style city in Scotland.

Zed, scales were 5 Euro each, so 10 Euro for each knife;probably cheaper to get a new Tinker, really... even they told me that
The pens, toothpick, tweezers were 2 Euro each.

Reinier, I nearly bough the GAK a few days back. It was priced at 43 Euro which compared to online prices seemed a bit much... may still buy it if I see it becoming collectable..  :D

I'm sure I should be offended by that remark ......... however it's totally true, I am absolutely saving money and I am very grateful for the fact. :D

I wish I had something like that here as well. Why that would be one of my most frequented stores if it were.

Do they carry different color scales or just red and black?

They also had at least some opaque blue ones too.
I did ask them order me some plain blue ones some time ago, but it is taking ages...from Victorinox's side.

In theory they can order any colour you want but I get the impression Victorinox is not so keen on sending unusual colours to them.
