SwissChamp on Stargate Atlantis
on: March 24, 2012, 07:01:28 PM
Season one, episode four a bunch of folks are trapped in a shuttle that is stuck in the gate.  They take a personal inventory of what they have handy to try and figure a way out.  One of the items is a black scaled SwissChamp.

I'll let you know if they actually use it in the rest of the episode.  :D

Good spot!  :salute: :salute:

I liked watching that series and wish they would have not ended it so soon. Same with the Stargate Universe series.

I never watched these before, but since I made my way through SG-1 it seemed natural to move to Atlantis then Universe.

By the way, the SAK wasn't used for anything in the rest of the episode.

I'd love to get through SG-1... the thought of aquiring it all legally or not daunts me...

I watched SG1 on Netflix.  I had to download Atlantis and Universe.

If I can do something through legitimate channels I will.  If not, screw them.  Without going into too much of a rant, if the folks that owned the licensing for this crap would loosen their sphincters a bit and accept less money per license they'd make a buttload on more licenses.  I'd rather have 60% of something than 100% of nothing.

I have to watch some of my other favorite shows through "illegal" streaming or downloading, despite paying for all the cable channels, the HD channels and the specialty channels, although that's largely because I don't know when they are on and I'm too lazy to search them out and record them on the DVR.  I watch TV when I want to watch TV, not when some executive tells me I want to watch TV.   ::)

Is it sad that I watch TV and movies for the express purpose of spotting SAKs and multitools?  :D

I spotted another SAK on Stargate Atlantis last night.  It was in season 1, episode 12, and it was actually used this time, although for a pretty unconventional use.  The main character Major Shepherd was fighting a bad guy (Wraith) and he took cover behind some rocks.  He needed to see where the bad guy was so he folded out the knife blade and used it as a mirror to see around the rock without sticking his head out.

Nope, it wasn't Richard Dean Anderson, it was John Sheppard.
