So the scales are bogus, how does the rest of it feel?

Is it possible that the staff at Victorinox installed the print template in the wrong direction and didnt realise?

No, it's a different image. Also, the original shuttle image is a metal inlay.
You should seriously visit vicfan.com. All the hoopy froods are doing it.

Exactly, the 'fake' logo looks nothing like the ones I have on my Original 80's Shuttle or even the newer Japanese Shuttle.

It appears to me the shuttle image is a metal inlay, just like the cross. It feels just like the cross. I would say Victorinox made these scales. I can't find where they were pried off and replaced. Some people are very good at that. I just wonder why and what model the scales originally came on. This sure seems to be a a mid 80 ish master craftsman.

I don't think it's fake, just a different spaceshuttle...I already saw a couple of those for sale on ebay some time ago...wish I had bought one of those, a very unique item for any collection.  :tu:

how much did it cost?

And if you still thinks it is fake, and that you would like your money back, just let me know that I would make you a personal favor and buy it for the same price you bought it on ebay...  ;) ;) ;) :pok:

I paid too much. It was sitting at $5 till 15 seconds left. I put $100 on it and got sniped up to $69 at 3 seconds left. The knife is like new. I just find it odd, that there is no more info to be found on it.

Well, I think you did an excellent aquisition, and I did not think it was expensive, $69 for a real Spaceshuttle is not bad at all, I already seen some changing hands for over $200.
