Will you join me for dinner?
on: April 15, 2012, 03:34:22 AM
First, let's warm up the grill:

Next, we'll free the marinated tenderloin from it's shrink-wrapped casing:

What shall we do while that's on the grill?

Mayhap some cheese to go with the wine?

We still have plenty of time:

Maybe we also have time for a pre-dinner snack?

The tenderloin appears to be done. The first slice is cut by the trusty CyberTool 34:

But it will eventually have to make way for it's big brother:

That watch is now a classic, and I'm likin' the clock version alot.  Might need to find the watch now.

One tip... you better review your technique for slicing cheese, it looks dangerous.  :)

Yeah, it took some time to track it down. They have the gray bezel version available with white and black faces, and that is easy enough to find. (ex. Amazon) But the red bezel version is apparently more rare. I found a couple of places that had it, once I found the Model Number: 24221.  But they certainly charge a premium over the aforementioned models. I didn't know there was a clock version...

Thanks for the model number.  There are actually a couple clock versions that I know of.  I was thinking of the dealer clock when I wrote that because I just put on on the wall yesterday in it's new home where it will stay for the foreseable future.

There is another small desk clock version which I quite like and have missed a few times on ebay, so I guess I'm not the only one that likes them.

It really does bug me when sometimes a watch can double in price due to the color of the dial or bezel.

I just used the awl just to cut the foil without dulling the blade. I slip the tip under the bottom and just let the tip scrape along the bottle.

Then, I use the corkscrew to remove the cork.

Nice photoshoot, now I'm getting hungry! I've always liked a corkscrew unless I'm carrying alox. I guess I worry more about running across a wine bottle that I cannot open than a Philips screw I cannot turn.  :D
