I used to work canine with a guy who had a Malinois. He was so proud of his purebred Malinois- they didn't come any faster, smarter or better than a Malinois according to him, and his was a show quality dog so that made it the best of the best. This dog was indeed quite beautiful but that was hard to see when he'd sink his teeth into your leg at almost every opportunity! Friend or foe didn't matter, everyone got bit by that dog, including a poor drunk guy at a house party one night who tried to give ol Duke a kiss and got his lower lip ripped off!

But Duke was fun- one night we were absentmindedly throwing a stick for him to fetch while chatting. We were so engrossed in whatever we were talking about that we didn't notice the stick was taking longer to come back this time- that is until we heard an odd noise and looked over to see Duke dragging a railway tie back!

I've got an malinois/irish terrier cross and she's very snooty!!! oh and a posey parsons terrier that's a midget who thinks he's as big as his sister!!!

I love it when cats do things like that, especially when they are playing together. We have two cats (unfortunately I can't post pics currently), a male Maine Coon (Fluffy

-named by my daughter) and a female mix (Spooky).

Fluffy is a bit heftier than the average cat at 17 or 19 lbs (can't remember which one it was) the last time he was weighed. He is gaining on 6 years old now, but he was WILD the first 3 years. He climbed up anything he could and would knock stuff off of shelves in the process. He mellowed considerably since we got Spooky. I also think it's related to becoming a bit lazy as he's matured and gotten larger. He's gotten much more affectionate (when he wants it) as well and is gradually becoming more of a lap cat than he used to be. He's also very protective of himself as the vet once found out. He has a bright orange sticker on his file that says, "WILL BITE". I guess I would too if I was violated by a thermometer

Spooky is a wild thing as well, but she's only 2, so she's still young. She's a little weird in that she's snooty and isn't big on affection, but she will allow herself to be picked up and handled without much fuss. Fluffy rarely gets picked up as he doesn't like it, but he will occasionally climb onto my shoulders when we get home from work and will lay down with me supporting his hind end.

I love cats, despite how wild they can be, as well as destructive with the scratching of certain pieces of furniture. We aren't allowed to have dogs where we currently live, but I wouldn't mind having one sometime. However, they require more time and attention, so I'm not sure about a dog anytime soon. Perhaps when I retire and need something to keep me busy. That's a good 30 some-odd years away though.

Our cat is a bit the same, he only likes being picked up on his terms, if not he'll scratch, but he is loving when he wants to be, esp about 5am when he wants to play bite your toes!!!! ilove cats

I have quite a few pets... ...here are the ones I have pictures of on hand

First our cavalier King Charles spaniel named Ash, commonly called "popper"

Next our great dane Rousseau or Russo we haven't ever made either spelling official but spell it Russo more. None of these pictures are brand new so he is bigger now.

Here you can see him "walking ash" by holding his leash

Now for our oldest dog currently, Lola, nicknamed "soupie" and also called "moose"

Here she is in the after Christmas mess

I also have two siamese cats Rhett (dark one) and cleo (the light one)

And on top of all these a cockatiel named Soren and a rose haired tarantula named Igore

We used to have a skylight in our old apartment and my old dog Pete used to follow it across the floor. He'd nap on one side of the room in the morning, then every hour or so he'd wake up just enough to move over a little bit, back into the sunbeam then pass out again for another hour or so.

Evolution has really robbed us of the simple pleasures in life!
