Spyderco Navigator II

http://spyderco.com/catalog/details.php?product=193

I was wanting a nice looking pocket knife that could still be used for serious work. I found the Spydie Nav2 and got it. I bought the plain edge version. This knife was perfect for what I wanted. I could use it at church and not raise an eyebrow but I have no doubt I could gut a deer with it. The handle is smooth but due to the finger choils the grip on the knife is great. I do wish they would have jimping(texturing) on the spine for increased control. However, if you have a Dremel tool you can probably do it yourself.

The VG-10 steel is simply out of this world. Easy to sharpen and holds an edge for an extremely long time. I'm amazed at how this knife holds an edge. The lock is strong and there's no movement in the blade. It locks up like a bank vault.

My ONLY complaint is with the clip. I don't like pocket clips on small knives so I removed it. That left me with 3 little ugly holes in the handle. I tried putting the screws back in without the clip but they're too long and stuck above the handle. Someone with steady hand might be able to cut them off smooth but not me. However, this is "problem" in no way affects the function of the knife.

I'm not the best at reviews but I'll slowly get them up here.

Now you are hooked on Premium steels. Now you really need to go to wallyworld and get one of the 40$ Spydie Natives with the CPMS30V.

By far and away the best deal out there!

If you took all the intestines out of your body and stretched them end to end... you would die.
