Looks like a Rift with slightly different handle.

The description says "everse tanto blade with ambidextrous thumb-stud openers.

Even if it isn't a true tonto, it is a combo edge, so it is still worthless to me.

Benchmade makes all of their knives in plain edges.  Also, Benchmade's "reverse tanto" looks nothing like a tanto blade, either American or Japanese.  It's a modified sheepsfoot blade.

Now, how long until SOG copies this one?

This is probably the knife I am most looking forward to for 2012.

As was said, the reverse tanto is much better than other "tanto" designs. Much more usable blade area, while maintaining tip strength. Its probably one of my favorite blade styles.

Add m4 steel, a deep carry clip, and a carbide tip, and we have a real winner.
