I just saw a video on the Wenger Classic 132, a knife very similar to the Wenger Backpacker variations but in staid of the small blade or nail file it has an inline 2D phillips screwdriver like on the L.L. Bean Travelers. Anyone seen this one before?

We discussed this knife (Classic 132) in January 2011 on SOSAK forum.  At that time I meant to pick one up, but I didn't need to order any knives from Switzerland sellers for a while and forgot about it.  Now it seems harder to find again, or at list the two places I check in Switzerland no longer had it.

I found one at German Ebay at 23 Euro and they have a lot of them, but only ship to Germany. Want me to ask them if they'd be willing to ship to the US?

Thanks, but no need.  This thread was all I needed to reminded me about them and I'll track them down from some place I buy from regularly to save on postage.  I just needed the reminder to put this back on the radar. Even though the shop in Lausanne is sold out it looks like they are still available else where.

That is great. Wenger is really good about giving other options, instead of duplicating blades.

However, it should be noted that one can simply grind the tip off of the nail file, gain the "flat phillips" driver, and still have the file!

The dedicated flat phillips driver may be just a bit stronger, as it doesn't have the file pattern molded into it, making it thinner in that area. It may also be shorter, and more twist-resistant for that reason.

I'm not ready to go to the trouble or expense to buy one from Germany, but if they show up state-side at a reasonable rate, I'll surely get one.

Thanks for the heads up.
