Good to see you back.  What multi-tool is like Microsoft Windows?  Best wishes.  Gary
 :hatsoff:

Having thought for a moment I guess Gerber is rather close to being Windows here 😃

Well, since I despise Windows I'd have to say the equivalent would be one of those cheap crappy knock offs that will break right away.  :D

Well I definitely don't hate Windows - there are apps that only exist on Windows that I use - for example an app for a thermal camera and a lab power supply - and those won't sadly work under virtual machines on a Mac or Linux. Not to mention games... So definitely no hate here - none of those platforms is bad - otherwise they won't even exist or would cease to exist IMO. So no good, bad, right or wrong answers here :)

It's just a subjective feeling, you know.

Well you guys can tell I missed my Wave 🤣.

Our reverse osmosis tap started leaking a little recently. It's a rather old tap that has a rather old design. So I wanted to replace it with a more modern version, but sadly it was out of stock in the local stores. But today I stumbled upon one right next to where we live, so bought and installed it right away. Wave pliers did a surprisingly great job at cutting a plastic fitting  :multi:

Thanks, Farmer X

As for the good stuff - today I guess I finally made me a Wave I really like. First I put onto this Linux system an S30V blade years ago. And had a 154CM before that. Then a few days ago I put a Wave Plus plier head. Too bad I missed a chance to have one with 154CM cutters and not those doubtful 420HC, but what can you do.

And today I finally managed to get a Rebar awl in there. Took quite a bit of time and effort filing plier support, scissors support, awl thumb stud and so on, but seems to be well worth it - now that's a Wave I always wanted :multi:

P.S.: one thing to add would be a LM ratchet of course, but that seems to be a surprisingly rare treasure for some unclear reason :)

@TexasAKM: is the Micra accompanied by a Rebar?

Howdy Farmer!
More like the Micra is accompanying the Rebar!  That Rebar is the tool I carry the most.  I do like the Micra, it is a fine tool.

Decided to add some RAM to our old ASUS laptop that I use sometimes to play video of Windows games or to control my lab power supply and other electronics equipment.
It’s a really old one and it was crazy powerful back in a day. Also it’s the heaviest laptop I know.  But it only had 8Gb of RAM which was cool then but is not much these days. So while the proper RAM sticks are still available and are really cheap A I decided to make it even cooler, since it easily runs latest Windows and Linux versions and I already fixed any other issues it had, also having replaced two of its HDDs with SSD drives.

Used main blade to open the replacement RAM and then an eyeglass screwdriver to pop out old memory.

Celebrated the successful upgrade with some coconut juice - now I can do it with my newly installed awl 🙌🏻

Removing shelves from wall. Extender is a great help as the handles would get in the way.

:iagree: I had a laptop that was running Linux by the time I replaced it...but that story is best suited for another thread.

Nicely done 👍🏻. I wish ratchet would get back in stock soon - those jobs would be much easier 😃

Well my kitchen scissors don't cut so well anymore so I used the Wave+ diamond file to sharpen it. Now the scissors work fine again  :D

I have a similar issue when I need to manipulate a Torx screw at work. My ST300 doesn't yet have an add-on bit driver, so I have to use dedicated tools. That's what we do: make things work! :tu:

I had put on a lot of screws and hooks around it to hang toolbags and clothes. Not it's time to revert it.

This combo really gets the job done fast and easy.

I used my Leatherman Free P2 to cut open some boxes and cut & strip some 14 gauge wire as I upgraded a friend's garage antiquated lighting to  LED's.  It's the tool that can do everything.... almost!     :woohoo:

No action shot:
Tightened a screw in the Ikea Norden table with the Leatherman inline ratchet driver and a Vessel ball grip (220W-62). The other side with limited space I used hex bit clamped by Knipex Cobra 125 (not enough space even with a regular hex bit ratchet).
