Need help with an unknown Wenger
on: May 15, 2012, 03:36:05 PM
Hello!
I recently purchased an old Wenger knife and despite searching the wiki, this forum and the whole web, I'm still not sure about the model.
First of all, two pics of the knife:

As you can see, the knife has almost the same configuration as the Monarch, but with two main differences:
  • corkscrew instead of the phillips screwdriver
  • small clip point utility blade instead of the nail file

I found only two old topics, which could be of some help.
1. http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,32748.0.html
As you can see, my knife is quite similar to the one shown by ColoSwiss, with the difference that my knife has the small clip point blade.

2. http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,10353.msg192352.html#msg192352
Again, my knife is similar to the one shown by stressmaster5000, with the difference (not considering the different markings on the scales and the blade) that my knife has the newer style fish scaler tool (with the line guide) and the no-locking main blade.
Any idea?

Hello,
many thanks for your answer and your help.
I did a last search, and found a picture from an italian website (seems more a cache image, as the shop is now closed), with a code "E. 1.25"
It is a very close model, apart from the nail file.
So it could very possibly be the number 1 25 13 you mentioned.
I will research further.
P.S. We really need to find an old Wenger catalog for the European market.
