You guys remember this one...?

Yes, it's "the famous" Pikachu  :tu:.

The Vic logo is a bit out of focus on the last one, but both the camera and I were focusing on the magnifier.

Same scenery, different SAK.

Nice to compare first generation magnifier with last generation magnifier.

Here's my Cybertool Lite.

To all my loyal fans:

I'm going to post some new stuff here, and I'm only going to post it in this topic (maybe later I'll post it in other topics, but for now, it's exclusive for this topic).

Consider it a thank you to the people who still visit this topic, my own little project, started years and years ago, as one of the first (or maybe even the very first) topic dedicated to posting outdoor pics of your multitools/SAKs.

So, after holding back for months, quarantine boredom got the better of me and I went onto the net to do some shopping, here's what arrived today.

First of, a Brisa Bobtail 80 Curly Birch, it was at a discount and I just couldn't resist.

And here's a special one (at least for me), when I first saw this one I did some research on this type of knife and its origin, and it made me want one even more...

So, here it is, my Brisa Nessmuk 125 Curly Birch:

And just to have an idea about the size of this Nessmuk:

And I also got this next one.

Since I'm collecting the Pioneer of the yearly "Limited Edition" Victorinox set, I just bought version 2020.

I really like the colour, I wasn't expecting to like it, but it looks very nice in real life.

Oh nice nessmuk.   :tu:   :like:

Thanks mate  :salute:.

I only found out about this type of knife a little while ago, did some research to know from where the design came (and found out there's a Nessmuk challenge planned here).

And knowing a bit about the historical background of the Nessmuk. I really wanted to own one myself, and the Brisa (former Enzo) version looked nice and offered great value for money in my opinion.

So here it is, and not only does it look nice, it feels great in hand as well.  I can see why one would pick this type of knife as a companion for hunting/bushcrafting.

Let me start with welcome to the ANLC club.  Paperwork is in the mail as well as the song sheet.  Someone should be by soon to teach you the handshake once we are out of quarantine.

You've got some terrific new items.  Those fixed blades are wonderful.  I really cannot say which is more .  Everything about the Brisa Nessmuk 125 Curly Birch is gorgeous.  The Nessmuk is a a wonderful design thats endured   for good reason.  Yours looks to be very well done.  Love the liners and choice of handle materials.

Your Brisa Bobtail 80 and its sheath are also pretty great looking.  Love that sheath style.  This knife looks like it wants to eat wood now.  What a great size.  I like the choice of steel on this one.  It'll be a performer without all the fussing about care.  Love the polish on the blade and that sheath.  Is it light enough to be a neck knife?

Liking the color of the 2020 Alox.

Great pictures as always.   :salute:

Thanks guys  :salute:.

@Aloha: The Bobtail knife itself is light enough to be used as a neck knife. But the sheath is quite big, not saying that it can't be used as a neck knife, but for me it's at the limit of what I would wear as neck knife.

If you could get a small kydex sheath for it, it would be perfect (Enzo had kydex sheaths for the Bobtail's predecessor, the Necker, maybe they have a kydex sheath for this one as well)

Don't get me wrong, the sheath is awesome, it supports both vertical and horizontal carry, and if you want to use it as neck knife, you could use the eyelet in the bottom, or the belt carry loop.

When quarantine is over I will definitely try it as a neck knife with this sheath and I'll let you know how it went.

Maybe I'm a bit spoiled with my current Mora Eldris, which is awesome as a neck knife.

Oh, and I think the Nessmuk design is awesome.

I'd been thinking about getting myself a knife with some history behind it, and in the end I had three favorites to choose from, the Brisa Nessmuk, the Becker BK62 Kephart and the Helle Viking.

The Helle looks great but I wanted a full tang knife, and the leather sheath, while beautiful, did not seem very practical.

It was hard to choose between the other two, but in the end it was the special look of the Nessmuk, along with the fact that it costs less than half of what the Kephart costs around here (189,95 Euro for the Kephart vs 90 Euro for the Nessmuk).

I'll probably get myself a BK62 Kephart at one point, but not in the near future (and not at that price).

I picked up a Helle Viking and you are right about the sheath.  Its functional in that it protects the knife but not really my cuppa tea.

You did well with your knife choices.  I love that horizontal carry option on the Bobtail.  I was not one who liked to carry knives like that until I actually gave it a go.  I like to carry small fixed blades in this way.  I like to have it at about the 2 o clock position with the handle towards my center as I'm a lefty.  This works great with little blades that see most of the use.

Mora Eldris.  Great little knife.  I bought one for my partner and she loves it.

Good to hear I was right about the Viking sheath, still, cool looking knife and sheath (too bad that the sheath isn't very practical).

And the Eldris, well, I bought a couple of them for my boys, and got 2 for myself since it's such a cute looking knife, but I was surprised by how good it is. Yes, it's very short, but it's quite good for carving and whittling, the big Garberg style handle feels great in all positions.

There's a video on YouTube from someone who removes the standard handle (which shows how strong the handle material actually is).

I never expected to see so much metal sticking inside that handle.  The metal comes close to the lanyard hole in the handle, it's longer than the length of the blade.

Click for the video.

Misses TG-24, our little girl Caitlin and yours truly went on a short hike near our home today,  since we're not allowed to stop during our hike (not even for resting on a bench), I had to get creative to find an excuse to take pics.

So I would walk a bit faster than the two ladies who were with me, and when I was far enough ahead I had to wait on them, and while I was waiting...

It was very peaceful and quiet outside, we only crossed 4 other people or so...
