Yep, TG-24 was there  :D.

And yes, they sold toys and household goods at the store where I found that awesome Wenger/Vic stuff.

My father came into the store to see what was taking so long, right when I was about to buy 5 SAKs, so we quickly asked the lady at the counter to pretend as if I was only buying one of them, and keep the other 4 on the side until my father went out of the store again.

You see, my father had heartsurgery once already, and for him to see me buy 5 SAKs at once... Well, let's just say we didn't want to take any chances.

When he sees me buying a SAK while we're on vacation together, he always says: "why are you buying another one, when you already have one?"

Yeah right... one...

Needles to say that I never told him we got an extra discount (on top of the -10%) at the factory store in Ibach because I spend over 500 Euro there (and that was at the store in the Vic factory alone).

I told the wife and kids that grandpa could never find out what I spend on SAKs during our 7 days in Switzerland  ;).

I love Switzerland, very beautiful country, everything so clean and tidy, and very nice and friendly people.  Best vacation ever.  I love Austria as well, but hey, I'm a SAK collector so...

Haha, great. Was the saleswoman a young, tough woman with short hair?

If so, that is Ms. Abplanalp, the owner. I see the amusement in their face because of the little deception about your father ...

I once had a 20% voucher for the factory shop in Ibach and when I was there they had some first mate with the long awl and various small Alox advertising knives that I collect. I better not say how much money I left there.

I am honored that you like my country so much, unfortunately I cannot return, I have never been to Belgium - hopefully I can change that, I love to travel ...

@Sneider:

If you ever decide to visit Belgium, send a pm and I'll try to arrange a meet and great with all Belgian MTO members (all 3 of them  :D).

Already made a new topic about this, but thought I should post it here as well...

Looks like quarantine didn't protect me from CBV... the Curly Birch Virus  ::).

Here are some pics of my latest Curly Birch knife, the Casström Lars Fält Lock Back.  And I bought a TBS sheath to carry it on my belt.

Here are the pics.

Thanks for the offer my friend! Unfortunately it doesn't look like traveling at the moment but who knows, never say never! Communication could be difficult, I should finally learn english instead of always using google translate ...

What a beautiful birch knife! Looks like something will last a lifetime... :dd:

No worries my friend.

The way I see it, if two people really want to have a conversation, they don't even need a common language, if both are willing to take the time and to make an effort, they will figure it out.  Speaking slowly, trying the same word in different languages, even using gestures and drawings, all these things are possible.

I live in a small country with three languages (something Swiss people can relate to I guess), and while our politicians always use this as a way to try and divide people, reality teaches us that were all very much alike, and 90% of the people don't mind putting in a little effort to make a conversation work.

Oh, and thanks for liking my Casström Lock Back, I'm really excited about it myself as well  :like:.

How did I miss these pics  :sa:

Some much awesomeness in one pic (counts for both pics) ... That scenery is breathtaking, those butterblade mods look great, and who doesn't like alox scales.

Thanks for sharing your pics here mate  :salute:.

And apologies for the late reply  :-[.
