Yep, TG-24 was there .And yes, they sold toys and household goods at the store where I found that awesome Wenger/Vic stuff. My father came into the store to see what was taking so long, right when I was about to buy 5 SAKs, so we quickly asked the lady at the counter to pretend as if I was only buying one of them, and keep the other 4 on the side until my father went out of the store again. You see, my father had heartsurgery once already, and for him to see me buy 5 SAKs at once... Well, let's just say we didn't want to take any chances. When he sees me buying a SAK while we're on vacation together, he always says: "why are you buying another one, when you already have one?"Yeah right... one... Needles to say that I never told him we got an extra discount (on top of the -10%) at the factory store in Ibach because I spend over 500 Euro there (and that was at the store in the Vic factory alone). I told the wife and kids that grandpa could never find out what I spend on SAKs during our 7 days in Switzerland .Show contentI love Switzerland, very beautiful country, everything so clean and tidy, and very nice and friendly people. Best vacation ever. I love Austria as well, but hey, I'm a SAK collector so...
Thanks for the offer my friend! Unfortunately it doesn't look like traveling at the moment but who knows, never say never! Communication could be difficult, I should finally learn english instead of always using google translate ...What a beautiful birch knife! Looks like something will last a lifetime...
No worries my friend. The way I see it, if two people really want to have a conversation, they don't even need a common language, if both are willing to take the time and to make an effort, they will figure it out. Speaking slowly, trying the same word in different languages, even using gestures and drawings, all these things are possible.I live in a small country with three languages (something Swiss people can relate to I guess), and while our politicians always use this as a way to try and divide people, reality teaches us that were all very much alike, and 90% of the people don't mind putting in a little effort to make a conversation work....
These are big, true words, my friend! Completely agree!
Looks like a great day
