Great pics Michael  :tu:.

I love pics of trains and trainstations (guess I've seen too many episodes of "Thomas the Tank Engine" when our boys were little).

And indeed, probably better not to take pics of a SAK during a football game.

Thanks for sharing your pics here mate  :salute:.

Cheers mate. And yes, a combination of watching "Thomas" as a child and my own parents' interest in railways means I've always had an interest myself. It's more than a bit engrained, by now!

Here's a pic I posted on Facebook a couple of years ago, most people didn't get what was going on  :D.

This is an extraordinary photo, Eric!  :like:
Looks to me like upside down and the background is reflected on the water surface of a pond or so...?

Thanks mate  :salute:.

And yes, you're right, it's a pic of a small pond with leaves in the water that I turned upside down.

I posted this pic on Facebook a couple of years ago, but it was Zoidberg's upside down pic on the previous page that reminded me of this one.

Oh, man, I hadn't looked at the last two posts on the previous page...

These are great pictures, zoidberg  :o  :like:

Today I drove past Schaffhausen and quickly took these photos of the roadside.
The beautiful river (Rhein) below is unfortunately hardly in the photos. In the background the fortification "Munot", the symbol of this city.

If the panorama mode of my old smartphone fails ...

Camp Saddle 1490m.

Point 1550m, the way out following the ridge around.

Point 1525m, last look back at the ridge before descending into the trees.

A walk early on in Preston before a double header of cricket and football in Poulton-le-Fylde. It feels nice to be doing the things I enjoy again, even if it's still all a bit strange.

Beautiful pics guys  :tu:.

My apologies for the late replies, we have had some stressful weeks here, with regular visits to the hospital for one of our children...

Rough times...

Anyway, In these difficult times,  I enjoy the beautiful pics you guys post here even more, thank you my friends  :salute:.

Oh, and before I forget, it might be possible that some of my photobucket pics in the beginning of this topic dissappear in the near future.

I've been receiving some rather aggressive sounding mails from photobucket to upgrade my account or immediately delete like 1000 pictures to get to the 250 pics you get with a free account.

I politely told them I'm not that fond on how they handle things, and that I'm not going to spend one minute deleting pics on an account I'm not going to use anymore... So they could just as well delete it, I got an e-mail back saying they were going to delete my account, but that it could take a week, and it was possible that I would receive another one of their spam mails...

Now, 4 weeks and about 10 spam mails later I finally received an e-mail saying my account has been deleted.

For now I can still see my old photobucket pics in this topic, but I'm not sure that's going to last...

Thanks John  :salute:.

You guys have no idea how much support (and well needed distraction) you give me with those great pics...

That Mora Eldris is truly a great little knife isn't it? I own two black ones myself (one regular and one with the firesteel and extra loop to secure it for use as a neck knife, one of the only knives that can be used as neck knife in real life, in my opinion).

Both of our sons also have one (also the ones with the firesteel etc...),  a black one for our oldest son, and a green one for the youngest.  Now I just need to get a pink one for our little girl .

A bit belated, but I hope everything's alright, Eric.

I went out 2 or 3 times over the weekend with my Swiss Champ in my pocket to take a couple of photos. I forgot every time.

I'm very sorry to hear that, Eric. I wish your child a speedy recovery and soon better times for you and your family.

I recently finished work a little earlier and had the opportunity to enjoy the evening in the woods with my son. When I arrived at our camp, I noticed that I only had my little office knife with me. My eight year old son was better equipped than me!

Thanks for the support guys  :hatsoff:.

I apologize for my late replies, I don't visit this place as much as I would like to lately, and when I do come in to take a peek, I only have time or energy to read a bit, and not to post something myself...

I still have a couple of pics from a short family hike, from a month ago or so, I hope to post them here in the near future.

Thanks for the great pics, all of you.  This is always the first (and often, the only) topic I visit.

Greetings from Belgium,

Eric

Been comparing my different camping stoves each weekend. Esbit is my favourite mainly because it’s so easy to use, with or without fuel tablets, as well as being compact and light.

Picked up this super lightweight job recently, inexpensive and although a little fiddly to put together, which could be a deal breaker in bad weather, performed very well

Farmer used to strike the ferro rod, kapok fibre and fat wood shavings went up in a flash

That looks like a great light weight kit John  :tu:.

And nothing beats the feeling (and the smell) of a small woodstove in the outdoors in my opinion.

Thanks for sharing your pics mate  :salute:.

As a super lightweight backup I think it’s pretty good. Can use alcohol or tablets with it, but twigs are more fun!
