What better way to start a day than with breakfast in the sun with such a view.

Then we hiked up the valley along the Verzasca river. Just a few photos.

Hey guys .

Every time I find the time to visit this topic there are these beautiful new pictures here,  you guys know you're spoiling me, right?

Pretty soon I will be all grumpy when I come here and there are no new pics...

You know I'm just kidding right?

Anyway...

I see your "beautifully stunning mountain scenery"  and I raise with my "15 minutes waitingroom after you get your second Covid-19 booster vaccin" 😉.

Or when you think you made a mistake by not going for a G-Shock with timer function that day and you suddenly realize the bezel on your diver is not there solely to annoy you when it's off center...

It's a lovely watch Eric, very partial to diver's watches myself
Hopefully will get out on the weekend and have some pics to share
Unfortunately my landlord is probably going to sell the house I've rented for the last 10 years. It's very hard to get pet friendly places in Sydney and it's very expensive so have to start looking at selling some stuff to make the move easier
Coco is 12 and I'd hoped she'd get to see out her days here, all a bit up in the air but hopefully will all work out

Thanks John .

I'm sorry to hear about your troubles mate, having to move out of a home you've been living in for 10 years is hard, and finding a new home, especially when you have a four-legged friend, is even harder..

We will keep our fingers crossed here, hoping you find a new home soon.

Good luck my friend, and stay safe  :salute:.

That's some bad news. As much as I detest moving (something I've done way too often in adulthood), it has to be exponentially more stressful on our pets. Hopefully the landlord will decide against selling the house.

Great watch.  :like:
I bet many wearers of watches with such a bezel do not understand the purpose.  ;)

Hello Echotech
I can only agree with the other comments. Having to change your apartment/house unintentionally is bad.
I hope things turn out well for you.

Thanks Sneider it’s forest run off from the Wollemi national park (home of the Wollemi pine, a very ancient tree) near the Blue Mountains

In recent years it’s been quite dried out but with all the recent rain back to its former glory. Lots of water birds use it and a little off the beaten track

Hey Echotech, these Wollemi pines are the dinosaur trees! I remember that this discovery was celebrated as a sensation!
And this is in your area?! How cool... :o  Can you please get me a seedling?  :pok:

Such insanely beautiful pics, and those sceneries, so diverse but both equally breath-taking...  :sa:.

And just in time as I was just getting more and more grumpy...  ;)

Seriously, I was in need of some distraction from every day troubles.  We've been having car problems with our "youngest" car (5 years old), and since our other car is 13 years old,  we thought that one was going to need replacing first, while the youngest one would be good for another 10 years or so.

Now it seems we will have to replace the youngest car first, which means we will have to hope the oldest car will last quite a bit longer than we first planned...

Oh well,  yet another thing to add to the list of recent misfortunes, it's about time our stroke of bad luck comes to an end...

Anyway, thank you both for the beautiful pictures,  and for keeping this topic going, I really appreciate it a lot.

Stay safe my friends  :salute:.

Just kidding  ;)

Getting fauna and/or flora in or out of there can have quite some consequences apparently, or at least according to "the Simpsons"...

Just kidding  ;)

They're such a closely guarded secret that apparently it takes a 3 day hike just to get to them....they do sell seedlings internationally I think if you really are keen

Hey Eric
Oh no, 5 years is still new?! Hope you find a good solution.

Thanks, I'm glad you like the pictures.

The simpsons! I really like it, but I missed the Australia episode  :ahhh
Bringing plants to/from Australia is tricky, I know. Australia's strict customs regulations are well known here. Hence the "just kidding"  ;)

Echotech you're right, the wollemia nobilis is really available now, just googled but I didn't expect that. When I inquired a long time ago they were priceless (for people like me). I'll ask a gardener friend of mine if the ones planted outside have a chance of surviving...

Here in the Swiss underworld (lowlands) the gloomy foggy season has begun. This morning I drove in the fog to my workplace, which is higher up, i.e. mostly above the fog, and was greeted by this sunrise:

Thanks for the support guys, there are worse things than car trouble, but the list of bad luck just  keeps getting longer you know...

Anyway, we went for it and sold our 5 year old Citroën Berlingo (we told the buyer about the problem, he said he bought a lot of cars with that problem, and they all end up abroad, we're regulations aren't as strict as they are over here, in western Europe).

And we bought ourselves a new car (which will arrive around the 3th week of januari).  So until then we'll have to get by with one car and our bicycles...  ::)

And I sure hope our 13 year old Citroën Berlingo will last another 5 to 10 years  :dwts:.

Oh,  and Peter, you should look up that Simpson episode, it's a true classic  :tu:.

Got out to the Hawkesbury today before more storms tomorrow. There was evidence of a lot of the recent flooding, whole caravan parks destroyed, fields covered in sand, roads out….however still very beautiful
