Great pics of a beautiful place, and love the pic of Coco, she's looking sweet as always  :tu:.

I own the same Opinel n°8 Outdoor, also in orange.  I should carry it more often, it's a very capable knife.

Thanks for sharing your pics here John, I really appreciate it  :hatsoff:.

About time I post something myself...

Due to various reasons I can't seem to find the time or energy these past months to go out for a trip, or even a short hike close to home.  And if I eventually do, I find myself taking only a sporadic pic, and by the time I get round to uploading that pic, weeks have passed...

Anyway, here's a pic from my Evo28 (next to my trusty Swisschamp my favorite SAK) that was taken during a hike near the Averbode Abbey, last October.

And here's a pic I took during a short and cold hike near our home, yesterday.

It shows the Christmas gift I got from my wife and kids, another version of the Victorinox Airboss Automatic.

Actually, I found this one myself at an online  watchshop, brand-new, at a -35% discount, and the Misses and kids got the hint  ;).

I immediately switched the original brown leather strap it came on for this black/green Bond NATO one, and it looks great in my humble opinion.

Hope you guys enjoyed these pics, and thank you all for being here  :salute:.

Good to hear from you Eric and very much enjoying your pictures :tu:

Coco hasn’t been well so on top of the arthritis she has heart disease poor old girl.
As she probably won’t be around too much longer (I’m hoping 6 months but that might be wishful thinking), I’m trying to give her lots of fun this year

Unfortunately I have very bad back problems, 5 bulging discs and arthritis causing me to be in constant pain so it’s been a bit of a tough start to the year tbh

I'm so sorry to hear about you and Coco my friend, I hope you two can share as many beautiful moments as possible in the time you have left together.

As a former dog owner myself it breaks my heart reading you and your loyal friend are entering that moment in time which every dog owner fears...

And I'm also sorry to hear about your condition, that sounds very painful indeed. We have to face it I guess, we're not getting any younger, that's for sure.

It's hard to comfort someone in a language that is not your own, but know that you can always send me a PM if you need a chat.

Take care, stay safe, and know we will be sending positive thoughts, all the way to beautiful Australia.

Greetings from Belgium,

Eric

That's a great looking watch Eric, and some excellent views Echo. I hope Coco is doing well given the circumstances. She sure is beautiful.

I took the Wave out skiing today.
(It does say SAKs or other..)

My apologies for the late reply, real life keeps getting in the way...  ::)

First of all, great news that Coco's new meds seem to be making her life better, I hope she stays  pain and trouble free for a long time.

Secondly, what beautiful pics have you guys been posting here again... :sa:

Thank you John and Nakken for posting your stunning pics here, I really enjoy them a lot.

I hope Peter (Sneider) is okay, since he hasn't been here for some time as well, it seems.

In July we have two weeks vacation, of which we will spend 7 days in Austria if all goes well, and hopefully I can take some pics there myself to post here.

Anyway, thanks for keeping the lights on here, really appreciate it my friends  :salute:.

Thanks Eric :tu: Coco was 13 last week but she seems better than she was 6 months ago so it’s pretty amazing

I had back surgery on Friday (microdiscectomy) and so am currently at home recovering. It went well and although feeling a bit fragile and sore not too bad. Unfortunately won’t be getting out much for a month or so, I’ll post a couple of mountain pics from a week ago below

Have a fantastic holiday in Austria mate, sounds lovely

John

Especially for you John, since you're stuck at home recovering from surgery, finally some pics of my own  ;).

These were taken a couple of weeks ago, during a hike not so far from where I live (only 30min or so by car).

It's a hike around the Abbey of Averbode.

Hope you enjoy:

And here we are entering the heather part of the hike:
