I made some ww2 style webbing frogs for them, ill add leather lace when i get some,  :tu:

Dont know how i got around to doing this today with the kids here lol, but started on the other kuk, i also rubbed some red dye into the handles,





so before.


And after,shame folk let things like these rot .


I asked a guy in the know about these and this is what he told me,

A couple of nice looking Nepalese military kukris. I'd say the top one is more recent than the bottom one, but both of them are older than I am - and I'm old enough to be a grandfather

cheers guys, i was really interested in these back in the 80's as a youngster and they still interest me, ive just ordered 2 books on the gurkhas plus printed lots of info on kukris , i love reading up on this kind of stuff  :tu:

cheers Al, yeah that red food colouring works a treat  :tu: i will buff up the blades a little more but nothing to buff them with at the moment, but there getting there  :tu:

Thanks Allan, ive really enjoyed doing these and ill still be tinkering with them for a while as i need the little extra knives to go with these but will probably try and make them,

this one is next on my list,its in bits at the moment  :tu: plus needs a whole scabbard  :think:

I made a another canvas pull on cover for the other kukri to protect the leather,  :tu: i will make a leather frog at some point as think it would look better,





Did a bit of chopping

cheers mate, although pure luck picking these up at a car boot sale that im lucky if i go t once a year,my local booty is pretty crap these days, although i did see a kukri at my local one last easter when me and my wife sold stuff ourselves,it was very rusty and on the stall next to us, i was going to go for it but left it a little while and yep it went   :-\ taught me a lesson  ;)
