If you enjoy it, please rate it.

Heck, rate it even if you DON'T enjoy it. ;)

Very good!

Btw, the hook is actually pretty handy to pull wires through a raceway (like in a wall etc).   Excellent camera work, concise discussion (which I appreciate).

I agree. As with other tools that some folks feel are useless, the key to their usefulness is remembering that they're there at the pivotal time. ;)

I've used mine for pulling wires from a tight spot too.

nice review Smaug - Cheers. I really like the look of the CT series -  I think the CT41 would be my perfect EDC (until something else shiny pops up).

Will you EDC yours?

No I don't. I've had mine since October. When I'm going somewhere there's a higher chance I'll need a tool, I carry it. For instance, when I visit my mom, she often pops chores on me. When I go to the airgun range, I bring it, as the little drivers are useful for scope rings.

I might rotate it in with the S557 for lab duty at work too. The CT driver would have come in handy yesterday, as it is long enough to get in some places without the thick tool stack knocking against stuff.

I found that the cheap Vic nylon pouch is more comfortable to carry this knife than the fancy, expensive leather one with the rotating clip pictured in this video. But this one at least comes on and off easily, without having to take my belt part-way off.

I keep trying to EDC a different SAK but keep coming back to the CT34, it just gets alot of use and has alot of functionality.

I have no issue pocket carrying on a lanyard.  As long as you keep it off the pocket bottom and vertical, and attached to a belt loop you dont even feel it there.  By far the best way Ive found for SAK carry.  Just unclip to use, it's always there when I need it.

I carried it with me in the lab today instead of the Wenger S557. Tried the CT on the same screw on the cover plate with the transformer, and it was great. The shaft of the CT is so much longer, there's no issue with the fat tool stack striking the transformer. I'll post this in my S557 thread too.

My favorite EDC SAK as of late has been my CT Lite.  It's exactly the same as the 34, but has a magnifier and LED layer added.  It's about the same thickness as a Swiss Champ or a 41.  I don't really need the light, and it's really not bright enough for anything other than illuminating the end of the bit driver or large blade in a small, dark space.  But, with my eyes, I've found that having the magnifying glass is extremely handy.  I wouldn't say I use it daily, but at those times when I need it, it's really nice to have, like reading the fine print on medicine bottles, rulers, and so on.

The thing about the lanyard getting in the way when you use any of the driver functions on it is spot on.  I've been putting lobster clips on all of my SAK lanyards, so that when I need to use any drivers on that end of the tool, I can just unclip them until I'm done, then clip it back on the split ring.
The first Noble Truth: life is suffering.  Only by accepting that fact can we transcend it.

Would the Cybertool 34 fit in the large leather SAK sheath?

I see it listed for the XL sheath but also saw reviews stating that there was extra space in the case.

I have ordered a new 34 this week and dont want to have to buy a newer case if I dont have to.

Thanks
Brian

100 percent agree. I carry mine every day like that - sits in my jeans pocket with the clip on the side belt loop.

Using a stainless boat clip from Class Ohlsson on the belt loop end and an s-biner on the other.
Taking it out of the pocket is just bring your arm up from the side, grab the loop and pull, and the knifes in your palm.
I've tried loads of edc tools and I keep coming back to the cybertool 34.
It's just a fraction thinner than my Swiss champ - makes all the difference.
If I had the skills I'd swap the scissors for a saw and fit wooden scales for my perfect knife...!
