Interesting post do you have any pictures of your pimped Woodsman’s pal please?

Oh and Welcome Swearengen  :salute:

Edit, Oooops too slow  ::)
I've moved recently, but this sounds like a fun excuse to dig her out.  She's a bit politically incorrect to tote so she hasn't seen much use lately (game wardens don't smile on things like that too often).  Been oiled, wrapped, and boxed up maybe too long now.  I'll get her out and have the tech savvy nephew take a few pics when he visits come Easter.

Thx for the welcome.  Hope yas dont mind my overlong posts...I'm bored to hell (this is my work's off-season).

Kirk13...we started with an older version but looks the same as these (note the handguard which is what adds so much to my love for it).

Pirates, historically speaking, were some of the finest and most dedicated Multitool guys ever.  They commonly cut their limbs off just to take advantage of Multitool capabilities: e.g. Captain Hook, Long John Silver, Pegleg Pete, the list goes on and on...

This article should answer many of your questions concerning the tomahawk.  When you hold one in your hand you will instantly feel it's lethality (not joking here).  I only transitioned from the tomahawk because I'm always tinkering.

I could see where the Woodsman's Pal would be a great Zombie chooper . Never thought of taking the hook off one , and sharpening the back edge .

its may... we need pics of the modded woodman pal  :pok:.

I've always wanted a gladius as über-come-all-machete. Not the Cold steel toy. Something more like the renactment gear. 12-14" blade. Good steel. Chop wood and stabby

Santos, both Al Mar and Boker did at one time maket a smatchet like device . Cant speak for the quality of the Boker , but the Al Mar was truly nasty .

I've seen a few around , but doubt they would be cheap . IIRC , there was a Kuk. influenced model , with a false edge , and a full double edged Smatchet type .

I'm a tomahawk user.

I beat on a junk cold steel rifelmans hawk at work

]

I would like to replace it with this compact woodmans pal http://www2.knifecenter.com/item/WP78412/Woodmans-Pal-Compact-Premium-Model-784-Tool-10-inch-Blade-Leather-Handle-Nylon-Sheath

when I can afford it. :)

I'd like to see some pics of the pal mods I've read about in this topic.

I will end up getting one of these bad

Yes I did sparky415

I think it would be a great tool but I like the design of the pai wit it's hook on the rear of the blade.

also its a little big to fit in my bag.

under 16.5 inches including sheath.
