Off to the Alps

Title says it all really.  A friend and I are heading off on a early morning flight this Saturday.  Flying to Geneva and hopping over to Chomonix by bus, from there we're hiking North on the GR5 back towards Lake Geneva for the next six days.  Being a couple of muppets we're not going to use the huts and refuge's but are camping instead. ::) 

Not quite gone yet, but I'm also not sure how much time I'll be able to spend on here before I go.  Pics to follow once I get back. :)

Check out Montreux and Vevey if you can, wonderful cities!
Small collection of SAK's, (but growing rapidly. :D) not so fast at this time. :( And the most important of all: Ze Zuper Zoldier by Steve!  :ahhh
Wishlist for 2014: Rangergrip 88, Victorinox: CT41, Spirit X BO CC, Swisstool X BO, Some limited Alox stuffs and so on

I've packed a Huntsman with me but there is a good chance I'll end up with another SAK or two. :D

Well, I'm back. :cheers:  After 4 days of getting thoroughly soaked my mate and I decided that enough was enough and came down from the hills.  Now don't get me wrong, we had a superb time hiking and there was some dry spells, but we were saturated with water and it was getting silly.  So for the second part of the week we bused and trained around the south-east of France with Annecy and Lyon being stand out places we stopped at.  I'm uploading some pics as we speak and I'll post a link when it's done. :)

Ironically the weather off the mountains was superb, mid to high 20's for the end of the week I believe. 8)

My mate is infamous for wearing shorts pretty much all the year through, he is an Aussie though so you do have to make allowances. :whistle:
