wondering if I could put one on a SOG?

Grinding off  the back side of the clip ( so it lays flat ) and rounding the corners with a Dremel tool will do the job.

Putting the clip on this particular place with the ridge just above the clip eliminates the clip from moving when the PPP is opened up.

Then  use the existing elongated slot for reattaching the clip and it's done ( NO s/s drilling needed - YEA ). Use two  1/4 " nut drivers to remove nut / bolt holding the implements in the tool."

I think a SOG PowerLock is to heavy to haul around on a clip but the PPP is just right

ABOVE is a L/M s/s clip on A SOG - PPP

Looks great. If you have any clips from the LM folders they fit the SOG PPP great and the bottom of the gears keep the clip from moving and it works great.

hmm..I've never really looked at the Pocket Power Pliers before in any depth, but seeing that black oxide one there with the clip has me scanning ebay... :D

Great clip mods by the way...

I "had" carried a SOG PowerLock for years, now I carry a PPP - lighter weight and still can accommodate the " tools you need " which makes it all that more desirable M/T.

PLUS the pocket clip mod is a snap , last PPP I got on eBay was $22 delivered - it's the one in the pocket clip mod picture

Good luck in your quest for a PPP

Nice clip add there eod! I like how you butted the top edge of the clip up against the gear linkage to prevent it from rotating. :salute:

(seems like preventing rotation can be one of the biggest pains about adding a clip)
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

Here is another LM pocket clip with a hole already drilled

Pocket Clip #934860 , may also fit the SOG and bear and Sons - will order a couple today and see how they fit.

I made the clip exactly as described, but I can't make it work.. There's simply mot enough space between clip and tool to pocket it.. I still have the clip and you're welcome to have it so you don't have to alter a new LM clip.. :)

Would a thickish washer under the pocket clip , between the clip & the MT's handle do the trick

Well i got the clip from Allan  :salute: and fitted it, i did add a fatter washer below the clip mat plus a thin one above, i also applied plenty of blue loctite as it seems to stop blades from sliding out lol so thought this might help it from moving  :D seems pretty solid at the moment so time will tell, its pretty much my perfect EDC MT, well would be if i could have a blade on it   :tu:
