Here's my old baby. I had to sell her when gas got expensive. The guy I sold it to said he'd sell it back to me if I ever wanted it. It's a 1991 Ford F250. It had about 100,000 original miles when I sold it to the guy and all he does is just piddle around on the back roads so I know he isn't putting any miles on it. It has a 351 engine in it. That's 5.8 liters to the metric guys. There's no leaks and the engine has been taken care of its whole life. Lots of power. It's nothing fancy, just an old work truck. Manual windows, AM/FM stereo, bench seat and rubber floor. The kind of truck you can hose out when it gets dirty. Definitely not a comfortable vehicle to ride in but will pull or push just about anything you want it to.

Dark blue 1999 Cadillac DeVille.  The trunk looks like the storage area of a Humvee...a rolling luxury tool shop :multi:

Belive it or not, I liked my first car better; a 1989 Oldsmbile Delta 88.  The ride was just as smooth, but it felt more rugged.  The bells and whistles of the Caddy are just that IMO...bells and whistles.

And I will NEVER get another car with a "brain".  My Cadillac has mental problems concerning the aftermarket CD player I installed...apparently the "brain" of the car is in several different pieces, including the stock cassette player.  I can't complain though, every time I turn the key, it starts...under 3' of snow, on 101 degree days, there hasn't been any serious engine/drive train problems and I'm approching 100k miles soon.

I used to have a 98 STS... I put 161 on it and it still was in great condition!

Nice "beater" truck, DTH!  They really don't make'em like they used to. I love my beater van. I treat the mechanicals well, but I won't hesitate to throw an empty cup from coffee on the floor. Gives it that lived-in look.  :D

Corrugated, I hear ya about the car-puters. Seems like once one thing goes it's a downward spiral, fast!  :(  I had a 1984 Corvette and once my power seat went the dashboard started acting up, then the radio.... rrrrgh! Glad I sold it. The kid I sold it to loved the challenge but IIRC it costed him more than he thought it would to get everything back 100%. Just another reason why I love my diesels!  :)

I've had my Nissan Frontier XE King Cab since Sept. '99.  A hail storm left some wonderful dents all over the hood and roof last summer and I couldn't afford to fix it, so I'll most likely keep it 'till the wheels fall off.

I used to drive one of these Freightliner Century class trucks around, I've driven thru 47 US states and even a short trip into Canada.  The one pictured is not mine, I lost the photos of my US Xpress truck when my last hard drive crashed.  If I ever get my health back in order, I may go back to driving...
