Phobias
on: February 20, 2008, 07:59:32 PM
So do any of you boys and girls suffer from any kind of phobia ???

Spiders and snakes give you the shakes, height's and depths make your knees give out ???

For my part I don't have any phobia's, I hate needles and have very great respect for heights :D, but a crippling fear off things no.

What about you guys ???, be honest :)

My only real phobia is of deep water.  I am not exactly the strongest swimmer which doesn't help and I have had many a bad dream of me in deep water. :(

The ocean scares the living bejeezus out of me, so I want to buy a sailboat and go see Esteban in Buenos Aires.

I hate being scared of anything!

I don't mind heights if I can't see the ground. I HATE those ventilated floor grates installed on many smokestacks and towers. I used to work in a chemical plant and had to check an emissions unit at the top of a huge stack. I actually liked climbing the ladder better than standing on that small grate (attached to BRICK with about 6 or 8 bolts)  at the top of the stack. You never saw someone hug bricks so much in your life!

You wouldn't enjoy living here.  I have brown recluses living the good life in my garage.  I see them in the house at times too.

I don't have any real phobias I guess.  Heights bother me, but I can usually get a handle on the situation.

I HATE speaking to audiences.

I agree on the cockroaches. They aren't rampant around here, but I hate to be ANYWHERE they've been (from what I understand about cockroaches, they don't like me either).

I don't really have any phobia. At least I don't know any, maybe there are some hidden deep in my mind.  ???

I have one of the most common phobias... spiders. They do scare the living s**t out of me, especially when they are in my bedroom. I actually have a book and tissues that are placed together in my room ready for when I see one :-[   If they are in a place where I might struggle to get it, I'll often start to sweat and shiver before getting it. Afterwards I'll usually keep the light on for a bit until I get tired enough to switch it off and go straight to sleep.
