Another weird fake from China

Just come across this on my travels.
A very strange and poor quality fake from China that's for sure.
Listed as an "OEM" pocket tool.

That is such a cheesy tool.  The logo looks original but it stops there.  Any true SAKer can see that this tool is a fake.

Nice find!

Does it come in the same box as this other fake one?

This one is not a fake, attempting to convince the buyer that it is a Victorinox  -  just a copy - "inspired" by the real thing.  But is it really by Eddie Bauer?  If not, it IS a fake.

Several years ago I bought one of these Eddie Bauer knives at Target for about $20. It wasn't a bad buy. It came in a nylon pouch w/a clip, main blade, small blade, cap remover, can opener w/screwdriver tip like the Vics, scissors, pliers, reamer, hook, a copy of the Vic mini-screwdriver in the corkscrew, light, & a compass that folds out to avoid proximity to the metal blades. For the price, it was a decent tool but could not, of course, compare w/a Vic. For example, the reamer was neither sharp not pointy; the bits were held in the bit driver by a tiny magnetic disc unlike the Vic's which use a ball & socket arrangement (my disc fell out and made the bits therefore inoperable). Most discouraging of all, one of the rubber scales (glued on) came off exposing the bare liner. Otherwise, not a bad tool for the price. "You get what you pay for."
