I knew about the two serrated versions, but I've never seen the plain edge one. Good find. :salute:

any idea the date ranges on the evolution?  I have one that has the non-serrated peeler, but the scales do not show the rivets like the one in the picture.

thanks if anyone knows.
If I can help, let me know

Detron, that's an alox Executive!

I think they're pretty slick.

Now I enlarged the picture too and I'm pretty sure I was wrong.  Scale tools and all that.

I now think it's even more slick.

I thought it was the light,  any idea the ballpark time frame that Victorinox used each of those peelers?
If I can help, let me know

Rivets became hidden on 91 mm Vics in 1961 so the smooth-edge orange peeler probably dates to before then; the head of the tweezers (on 91s at least) went from metal to plastic in 1978 so the large-tooth peeler is likely after 1977; with the small-tooth peeler in between.  These dates from the SAK OM, by way of Victorinox public relations dept.
Tang stamps (ie, Victoria only before 1975), shield metal (nickle-silver before 1980, then stainless steel) and scissor-springs (single, double, blue, stainless - what dates for these?) might narrow things down.
The grind/shape of the peelers, back and front, has had some variation over the years also...
The work takes on a life unplanned
