My new wengers, of a different kind
on: July 25, 2012, 03:45:18 PM
My local gas station is having a sale on Wenger bags with discount for frequent buyers. I couldn't pass this up. So I got two so far. A messenger style bag for work and a big travel bag. The messenger bag was about $22 and the big travel bag $77 (I did have to spend about $350 on gasoline though, but I would have spent that anyway with the European gasoline prices, that's not much of a problem :ahhh) The big bag already made a 1200km trip with me and did great. They come with a 3 year warranty and maybe I'll even win a trip to Switzerland. :D

Sorry about the bad pics, the lighting is terrible in here and I didn't feel like carrying them downstairs and out. Call me lazy if you will. :D

Flap closed

Flap opened

Front pocket and two side zippered pockets

Two compartments inside, one of which padded for a laptop

Back view, padding and carry handle

One side mesh, other side fabric pocket.

Travel bag (the kind with wheels and telescopic handle)

Large front pocket

And a smaller one on top

The main compartment

And a couple of side views.

This is the whole range they carry. I'll probably pic up the backpack too (second from the left first row) or I'll get it as a birthday present maybe :D

Nice bags!
We also had a similar sale here, discounted Victorinox sak's for frequent petrol buyers, but their prices were already expensive and even with discount it was to much.
I only bought Victorinox nailclipper.

Got that promo going on here in Tescos - they didn't look that bad for the money.

Nice bags!  :tu:  I bought myself a Wenger City Pack last year as a Christmas gift to myself.  I love it.  I use it every day, and this is one tough bit of kit.  I'm pretty rough on my bags, and honestly thought this one would be dead by now.  Not even close.

big fan of my small Wenger backpack as well.  It's been my EDC bag ever since I got it.

Well, here's another Wenger that doesn't have blades, though it does have a Handyman etched on the back.  :)

Very nice.  I don't wear a watch much, because they can be flat out dangerous at work-get them caught on a shelf 10 feet up or on a running paint shaker and you've got a problem.  But for off time, this is definitely going to see some use.  :tu:

Great stuff guys :tu:

I only wish they didn't name their watches the same names they give their knives, makes it harder to search for them. :(

I noticed that.  Actually, I'm not even sure what model of watch it is, but I don't really need that info to wear it.  :)  It needed a new battery, and I took care of that today at the local flea market.  The guy who did it actually used a Wenger watch case knife to do the job.......

I got an almer 40L
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Wenger-Almer-40L-Backpack-Black/dp/B003V8B3GI
When at some point was sold 63GBP in amazon (I think it was 67% off or something)
I am not really the camper hiker skier, but I thought It will come handy even as a big backpack, used It once and loved it!!!
I guess I ll have it for years ;)

I bought a Wenger backpack in 2008 or so...I carry it every day.  It's held up quite well, no problems nd minimal signs of wear.  Great for hiking as well.  It's much better built than any other backpack I've had; most of which just fall apart.

I might find a SAK in a hardwarestore here, if I'm lucky....  :(

My local Target actually has a decent selection of common Vic in stock, as well as Wenger bags.  I actually need to grab a new decent sized duffel, and I saw a nice Wenger there about a week ago....
