Welcome back!Congratulations to your graduate👍👏I had a grandson complete high school of the 2023 class. You will also be welcomed in the EDGED TOOLS forum, have threads involving FIXED BLADES and other subjects too!Once part of the MTo family, always part of the family. I know🥹. I had to step away too, and came back to warm embrace of the members as if never gone.
Hello folks. Long time since I logged in. I have moved to the Huntsville, AL area. Still collect SAKs. It was sad what happed in 2017 and liquidated 80% of my collection. No way was I going to unload my 2nd Amendment items and my Randall Made Knives. Anyways, was at a gun show today. Picked up a discontinued 1990s era (has the hook) Craftsman. $30. Just cleaned it in the ultrasonic cleaner and oiled it. Scales will be next. Last show, picked up a ST Spirit with “butterknife” blade. Got a pouch and clip from Victorinox. My oldest graduated from high school, with honors, last Monday. She is going to Auburn U on scholarship. Integrated biology with a track to vet school. She rides horses. So she got a Vic Equestrian ordered direct from Victorinox. Liner lock blade and not the discontinued sliding lock blade. Will be at Blade Show in Atlanta in two weeks. Wished Victorinox would be there. Will be there Sat morning at 0800 EST for the Randall Knife collectors meeting. I was at the Randall shop in Orlando, FL 2 March 2023. It is a neat place to check out.
Who are you again?
To those that asked: “who are you?”……been a member since circa 2009. Many pics on the Swiss Wiki (specifically Grand Prix, Craftsman pre 1986 no pliers, First Mate) came from me. While in South Korea (2007-2010), I was the one who discovered the “Comstock Load” of virgin, brass liners, NIB discontinued First Mates and sent them to Felinevet, for distro world wide. In 2017, I had a bad experience and had to sell off a large chunk of my collection to keep things afloat. We moved 250 miles from SE Alabama to Huntsville, AL area for a better life. I have started to get back into old habits again, but pace myself.
