Precision bit replacement?
on: August 11, 2012, 08:47:20 PM
Anyone know where i can just buy a replacement precision bit? I only need that one bit for my EDC blast(i was being a little too rough i guess and snapped it) and i dont want to buy an entire bit kit since i would never use the other bits.

If you're in the US, I'll send you one for free. Let me know.

Appreciate the offer, but i'm actually in Canada. Buying it from the UK does not seem too good an option either, what with currency conversion and shipping making it about 2/3rds the cost of getting the entire bitkit locally from cabelas.

I had a moment of brilliance when i realized i had some precision screwdrivers from the dollar store hanging around somewhere that looked suspiciously like the leatherman ones.

Thought id just take a dremel to whichever one fit into the bit adapter... Than i tried them out and realized leatherman ones arnt actually round, but more like an oblonged octagon.

The search continues...

By my estimation, it will cost me $6 to send the bit. I'll throw in some spares with it. E-mail me (jnieporte1981 <at> aol <dot> com) and it's yours.

Wouldn't you be able to just slip it in a regular envelope? First Class International postage for a letter is $0.85.

Sorry, I dont mean to sound ungrateful for the offer, but the complete bit kit is $15.

I was going to send it in a bubble mailer, but I guess I could put some tape around it, tape that between some baseball cards, and put it in a regular envelope. E-mail me with your address and I'll send it out.
