I've done it with chicken nuggets and fish sticks with my old KZ1000 when I was in high school. Works best with a V6 or V8 though... natural spot to put the foil packet.
Though most cans in the UK are now ring pull, every so often you come across one that isn't. Still a useful implement to have. Also, I have had the odd can where the ring pull has failed.
