Hello again!!
on: February 27, 2008, 02:39:23 PM
Hi

I have been a member on here for a while but I haven't posted in ages, so I thought I would say hello again.

I have just got a Squirt E4, I have been wanting one for ages.  I am now after another tool, I want a tool with a nice knife that has enough tools to look 'tooly' rather than 'knifey'.  By a nice knife a mean a one hand opener.

My thoughts at the moment are the LM Skeletool, Buck X-Tract and the Vic One hand trekker.

Welcome back!  Those are all good choices... make sure you check out all the new variations of the XTract before you make the leap.  They have them now with scissors or LED lights built into them!

Check them out here:

Way ahead of you.  :P

Ging, a UK meet is planned for the 2nd July in Nottingham and it would be great to see a few more members there.  All the details can be found here http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,3140.210.html.  Dunc has posted 2 other links in his last post of 2 other threads that may be of some interest as well.

The meet up sounds good, I live in Sheffield/Nottingham so unless I am working or on holiday I should be able to come.

The Kick is doing well and has seem alot of use.  I will have to write a long term review of it.

A rule that I live life by is, if I'm looking at several knives and/or tools and if one of them is a Victorinox product, get it 1st.

The fact that you actually have a rule for those situations is a bit of a worry.

Now, we're not here to judge (Well, maybe a little), but I wouldn't go telling too many folk you have a system for knife shopping.
