on: February 27, 2008, 11:35:07 PM
I just recieved my New Powerlock and I am not happy at all. Looks like the C4 Punch is keeping it from closing and the wall of one of the handles is bent out. I sent Chris@SOG an email maybe he can help me out. I won't be happy cause I will probley have to send it back off.  Anybody else have a problem with their Powerlock 2.0 EOD? SOG FIXED IT! I got a feeling the whole problem is cause the wall of the handle is bent and the whole thing is out of line. The left handle, Top Wall.

I have better pics in a minute. No I tried bending it back SOG makes a SOLID tool so it was a no go with the little stuff I have at the house plus it might mess it up more.

I talked to Chris and he told me to send it to the warrenty department which is what I am doing. She it boxed up and ready to go. All it need is a new handle then it will be good again. I think that handle got passed the inspectors.

Keep us posted on the PowerLock repair. I'm curious as to how long it takes, and whether they fix it or just send you a new replacement.

They are repairing it then.  I expected just a straight swap out as it was a brand new tool.

It sounded to me like they are either inspecting it or repairing it. Either way just as long as I get it fixed.

I purchased my eod 2.o last month, i had to send the leather sheath back for warranty because the button broke off, the only problem i had with my 2.0 is that the covers on the sides one of them came out, but i just put it back into place, its not as spactacular as i thought it would be. im still awaiting my new sheath to return without a sheath i cud just throw this away.

I got my Powerlock back with Handles Fixed. It would close futher than before but still not all the way. I figured out the second problem was the C-4 spike. The pliers were hitting the Spike so some grinding and problem fixed. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++FOR SOG!!!!!!!

While I haven't had any reason to use them, SOG's warranty department has a great rep, which is really saying something considering most of the tools discussed on a forum like this are well looked after by the manufacturers.

SOG Multi-tools have always appealed to me more than others. They are the ones I have always prefered. No I have even more reasons to stick with SOG. All I need now is a Dessert Dagger to go along with my Powerlock 2.0
