hey new guy here  :climber:

getting back into SAKs after what 20 years plus since i used one in boy scouts (wish i could find that knife...oh well)

I just wanted to post how impressed i am by the ability to get a nice sharp edge with only some stropping on cardboard, like the piece that comes with tshirts or the back of a notebook, and some jewelers compound.

they come decently sharp from factory but you can get em shaving with some light stropping.

i warn people before i let them play with it, they will bite!

if you haven't tried it, i recommend it.
but a sharp knife is a safe knife

I notice when I use my huntsman I strop it against my t shirt(to clean) and that seems to keep it sharp!

where did you get jewler's compound? I've been looking for the stuff to sharpen planes and the only place I can find it is a certain very over priced boutique hardware store with high shipping.
