Translucent scales without color ?

My friend Marco has found an interessting knife. It's a Spartan with transparent scales.
Just like the Silvertech scales but without the silver or a translucent without a color.
Has anyone seen such scales before?

I've not seen it before, but I really like it. I am a fan of seeing the inner workings; that's why I like my TI-83 Plus Silver Edition graphing calculator so much, despite it being an older model now.

Maybe we can unpaint the regular Silvertech scales?

I have a extra pair and when i have the time, i will give it a try.

I think Neil did something like that once (remove the silver paint). But he painted part of the scales black afterwards.

Ya, that was very cool! I think he re-painted the lines in blue... but no matter it was VERY cool.
