So I used a Vic sheath today that’s a perfect fit (the black one supplied with the OHT is a very poor fit). But I thought I’m tempting bad karma carrying a LM in a Vic sheath, so I picked up a larger LM tan MOLLE today that has some side pockets, has plenty of space and is a good colour match for the OHT. Now I’m happy.   :tu:

Yeah the sheath that came with my OHT was a bit snug.
Plus it's the lesser quality one.

I guess a 3-letter acronym for Standard Operating Procedure, but backwards

Maybe if it was grey it would fit better?

Reading this thread made me want to take my OHT to work today.

Rode in the black Molle sheath.

The blades saw the most action and handled every job, cutting objects down to size.

Nice!  :like:

I’m beginning to think the OHT is one of the more under-appreciated MTs from Leatherman. With some practice, the pliers flick out effortlessly with one hand, and while some of the tools are a little short, this has not been a problem for me. Some ‘fixie’ users actually prefer a shorter blade as it’s easier to control the point for delicate work. Anyway, enjoy! :tu:

Thanks, and do understand the underused aspect.

I did try using for my work a couple summers ago, but it do not handle work related tasks as well ad the ST300 or even the Rebar.

This tool is thick and rides heavier on my belt with the molle sheath.   At work I have been using a SS Wave do to the blade access, so the OHT handles those tasks without issue. The springed needle nose may provide me with a challenge but will test and time will tell

 :iagree:
OHT has a low tool ‘density’ for its size and weight. Bulky, so only practical carry option is a sheath (no lanyard or clip option anyway).

What do you think of the sheath TP  :tu:

I've carried occasionally (most days really) since getting the OHT a few months ago,
and the sheath is visibly worn,  :o and holding up poorly  (loose threading, velcro malfunctioning...)

definitely one of the worst sheaths I've had  :ahhh

Yes, not a good design from LM. Basically a minimum cost product they could include with the OHT.

It’s a shame as they do look nice
I don’t use any of the pouches that come with MTs
As I only carry them in my front pocket of my jeans
as it has a smaller pocket that is perfect for carrying MTs

Great pics, Max and LC :like:

I don't know if I have ever seen the camo model :o Very nice  :dd: I do wish LM would make more camo models and not leave them to be one run or limited edition models :-\ that way the second hand market wouldn't hvae them marked ridiculously high  :D

I have a suspicion that they did not have the license for the camo pattern from KUIU so they just did one run and abandoned the model. Another possibility is that it was an international order from one of the larger distributors (eg: in Australia) that resulted in this export only model, as it seems this model was never sold in the US. This could also be a way they sidestepped the KUIU pattern trademark as this would only apply to products sold in the US. Either way, it is a shame this model is no longer manufactured as it added some uniqueness to the OHT line that may have helped sales.  :dunno:

It needed a thorough clean so I took the pliers out. I thought some of you might want to see what they look like before I put it back together.
I cable-tied the handles together to make a 'pocket knife', just for a laugh.
