I like quirky inlays. Wayne probably has the largest collection of such. Hopefully he can shed some light.
Speak of the devil! The reamer on that knife was introduced in 1961. The pen blade changed from a clip to a spear in the early 1970s. Also about that time the name changed from Camper to Spartan. Jazzbass can probably date everything to the exact year.I don't recognize the logo, which doesn't mean much; Stressmaster is much better on those. However the fact that it's rare or unusual doesn't automatically mean it's valuable. There also has to be a demand for it. The basic knife itself is not rare. Given the overall condition of the knife, it's basically a 'beater' to throw in a tackle box.
It is not an Astronaut with the spacesuit worn off. Earliest is 1973 when the small clip blade went to spear shape.Worthless because of the scratches and I will give you 20 bucks for it. Kidding but not kidding. PM me.
may be a dynamite knife :http://kniver.blogspot.no/2010/05/12.html
