Update :)

Additions: 2 Directors (one with keyring), 3 RocKnives, a Hoffritz Ambassador ($3 ;) ), three beautiful SAKs with exposed rivets, a cracked ice (or fake mother of pearl?) Prince, wood (a Spanish mod), satin gold, checkered gold with cross, light gold alox (very cool, with a "75 Jahre Messerfabrik Elsener" blade etching), green alox, red alox, black alox with shield & cross, mother of pearl.

I still "need": horn (with and without T&T), tortoise, hardwood, black cellidor, white cellidor, the sixth RocKnife (0.6500.53), ribbed gold, olive green alox and hardwood. So if anyone has any of those for sale... :pok:

Oh and I also don't have all of the engine turned designs. "Feathers" and "Waves" are still missing.

Blue/green alox is on its way :gimme:

Where do you keep finding Directors lately? Locally? I was watching a nice looking blue smooth alox Victoria with exposed rivets with print last week but forgot to bid on it.

Well, of the three I own one came from eBay (I think), and two were bought in the Victorinox outlet store in Roermond:

I can go back there and check if they have any Directors left if you're interested?

I bought a Swisstool X and a NIB LM Mini in the last two weeks so I'm kind of skint at the moment but thanks for the offer. One day though. :D

Great thread I enjoyed the read!  I like 74mm as well, but only have one, the mammoth.

Two horn ones (with and without exposed rivets) and two new guilloché patterns (zigzag and feathers) arrived today :)

My wish-list is getting shorter and shorter. Which is a good thing.

So

today I got a new 74mm (my first),  and buy new, I mean new to me.

Got it at a flee market.  it is an executive, without the keyring, which SAKWiki says was called a companion.

it has the standard red scales, the shield logo looks like it is gold colored, but at certain angles appears silver.

the orange peeler has 15 teeth as opposed to 8.

is there any way to put a ballpark date range on this knife?  to me understanding "when" is just as important as any monetary value.

thanks!   I can put up pictures if they are needed, but I do not have the knife handy at the moment.

 :climber:
If I can help, let me know

Colo, I have that same blue Prince with the six sided logo. Have you learned what company that logo represents? I've never run across it anywhere. Scotty

Hi FS,

Sorry, no. My little bit of digging didn't turn up anything. You might check with Wayne (stressmaster5000). That's his area of expertise.

Here a special model, don`t know the Name of it, with scissors and a long, broad nailfile.

Another special model, 75mm.

..and one model, i think the only one with corkscrew.

Here's a link to a mini review I did of the Ambassador a few years ago.

Do you have an updated link for that?  Thanks.

I know there is no 74 mm "Classic" Model. Classic is for me a synonmye for standart, normal.

The 14k, the mop and one horn-scale are Executives.

The other horn-scaled knife with tweezers and toothpick is a cavalier, even if this model isn`t described on sakwiki.

For most of my vintage victorinox knives there are no describtions nor a name for the model.

Those are great, ulli! Welcome :salute:
That gold one dates back from when those knives only had a number instead of a name. It was known as a 656 Gold.
Is it for sale? :pok: ;)

The ones with the wide naik file are no. 72 and 75.

We have it mentioned under the Prince page together with the Treasurer as variations but only as a Cellidor model. We're updating the wiki at the moment and adding the 74mm/75mm models that are missing and some pictures of those models would come in handy too. :D Hopefully we'll find time to update all the missing ones soon and add the info to the wiki. SAKWIKI is an ongoing project and it continues to grow thanks to the members of multitool.org. :hatsoff:

Is that a 74 mm with a corkscrew? I've never seen any model like that before and I can't find it on SAK wiki. Does anyone have more info on these? I assume they are very old "Gentleman's knife" type models.
